Yoda Adidas Ultraboost Star Wars Sneakers

Yoda has his very own Adidas Ultraboost Star Wars Sneakers to wear right now. Wielding his lightsaber, this pair of shoes is painted in hues of green complete with Yoda's lightsaber and his famous quote as well. This is definitely the pair of shoes to commemorate The Empire Strike Back's 40th Anniversary.

Introducing the Yoda Adidas Ultraboost which is part of the extensive collaboration between Star Wars and Adidas in celebration of The Empire Strikes Back's 40th anniversary. Last week saw the mention of Metallic Gold Star Wars C-3PO Top Ten Hi Sneakers and it is fitting that Yoda has his very own sneakers to show off too right? After all this somewhat adorable, pint-sized and riddle-tongued Yoda is a Jedi Master, right?

Clad in special details which are unique to Yoda and of painted in a commemorative colour scheme, the Yoda Adidas Ultraboost Star Wars is the pair of sneakers for those who aspire to be a Jedi. You will notice that the flexible Primeknit uppers are dressed in a flecked mixture of white and olive. Now get ready for a lot of "Yoda colour". The structure is provided by olive leather midfoot cages and heel clips. Both of them are rimmed by bright neon green trim.

Notice that the "Ultra Boost" are in reverse

Upon closer inspection, you will notice that the leather features a cracked print that struts even more neon green. The iconic Three Stripe graphics of Adidas are coloured in black, and the lateral sides offer a debossed, reversed “BOOST Ultra” hit. Yes the Ultra Boost was deliberately reversed as this is a definite nod to Yoda’s habit of speaking backwards. Love how this collaboration delve deeper into the personality and characteristic of our diminutive Yoda.

Will the neon green glow in the dark?

The tongues of the Yoda Adidas Ultraboost footwear showcase a portrait of Yoda wielding his trademark lightsaber. The heels split between the "Yoda" letter vertically on the right and an extended lightsaber on the left. I love how what they have done to the heels! On the inside, the insoles feature a printed still from The Empire Strikes Back, with Yoda’s “difficult to see, always in motion is the future” quote. To round off the complete "Yoda" look, you will get the olive midsoles and black Continental rubber outsoles which I thought is a perfect combination of hues.

Yoda’s timeless quote: “difficult to see, always in motion is the future”

This pair of Yoda Adidas Ultraboost Star Wars sneakers will be released on the 17th of September 2020 and it comes with a price tag of US$180 (RM740). Honestly this is yet another good collaboration to commemorate the Star Wars franchise. I wonder if the neon parts of the shoes will glow in the dark just like the lightsaber in Star Wars.
