In conjunction with the 40th anniversary of "The Empire Strikes Back", Star Wars and Adidas Originals has unveiled the Top Ten Hi to pay homage to our beloved C-3PO. I believe it is a fitting tribute to our iconic gold-plated robot from the Star Wars franchise right? This pair of Metallic Gold Top Ten Hi sneaker has its roots traced back to basketball and hip hop cultures.

In this iteration, the Top Ten Hi got its inspiration from the world beyond ours and in the stars where a war is raging. Yupe! Adidas Originals and Star Wars wanted the jittery, edgy and somewhat funny robot C-3PO to grace the latest Top Ten Hi. Both agreed that the sneaker should be in metallic gold as well.

Everything in metallic gold!

The end result is a pair of eye-catching sneaker painted with metallic gold leather (synthetic of course). The tongue of the Top Ten Hi prominently sports a large "photo" of our hero the C-3PO. Another really amazing highlight is the rear of the sneaker with the head of C-3PO being embossed in black. On top of it, you will discover a slogan which wraps around the collar with the quote, "But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a droid." Very cheeky indeed.

That's not all. Both Adidas Originals and Star Wars want this pair of sneaker to be one that we will remember for a very long, long time. In addition to the already awesome details, you can also find "STAR" and "WARS" lace locks that really elevate the stature of the shoes. To complete the look, you will have gold-toned eyelets that resemble rivets, a gold-gum outsole and of course a branded insole.

But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a droid!
