Nintendo Game & Watch Super Mario Bros Returns After 30 Years

Nintendo Game & Watch Super Mario Bros are back after 30 years. Play Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros, The Lost Levels and Ball on this nostalgic handheld game console from Nintendo. You can also use Nintendo Game & Watch as a Digital Clock with 35 different clock animations. Priced at US$49.99, Game & Watch will be available on the 13th of November 2020.

Some of you (who are old) might still remember Nintendo Game & Watch which was really famous back in the 1980s . Yupe! With this Game & Watch console, you can actually play arcade games no matter where you go. It was actually Nintendo's predecessor to Gameboy. Honestly I have played with Gameboy before but not a Game & Watch from Nintendo. Hence I am pretty excited when the company announced that it would be reviving this classic mobile game console. Certainly a lot will purchase this novelty because it gives you that sense of nostalgia.

Nintendo Game & Watch Super Mario Bros from the 1980s

Before you get too excited *hold your horses*, do note that you will not be getting any other titles of games such as the familiar Donkey Kong, Popeye or any of those "ancient" arcade games that you used to play. However, this Nintendo Super Mario Game & Watch will be installed with the complete version of the original Super Mario Bros 2. I guess die hard fans will not be complaining right?

Good old familiar control layout

This new Nintendo Game & Watch Super Mario Bros looks like a carbon copy of the original handheld game console back in the 1980s. You will get the usual D-pad and two action buttons for you to control your Super Mario. Unlike the black and white screen of original Game & Watch, you will be relieved (or not) to know that this year 2020 version of Nintendo Game & Watch comes with a full colour display. That's really a much-needed upgrade after 30 years right?

There are 35 different digital clock animations

Just like the NES Classic Edition, you jump over pipes, stomp on those adorable Goombas with this Nintendo Game & Watch. Apart from the full copy of the original Super Mario Bros 2, you will also be getting Super Mario Bros, The Lost Levels and Ball. So you will be getting quite a few Super Mario games in this handheld Game & Watch. Honestly I do feel that such easy and light games are more entertaining than the stressful and time-consuming ones that we have right now. I guess that is why Nintendo is doing so well reselling their class games.

Nintendo Game & Watch Super Mario Bros will also come with a Time Button. Yupe. Hit the button, and the handheld console will be turned into a digital clock with Super Mario in action in the background. Nintendo claims that there are 35 different animations for your clock screen. This is pretty neat and you will love to use it as your desktop clock or bedside timekeeper right? Don't worry as you do not need any cell batteries. The Nintendo Game & Watch Super Mario Bros allows you to play 8 hours of continuous game on a single charge. It comes with a price tag of US$49.99 (RM200). It will be released on the 13th of November 2020. I wonder when it will hit the shelves in Malaysia.
