This is a real life story about a Foodpanda rider who helped me to get home. It happened last night at around 8:00p.m. After I had made some purchases from a hypermarket, I headed to my bike and ignited my engine. To my horror, my throttle cable had snapped and that meant I could not ride my bike. Since it was quite late, there was no workshop to help me fix the bike and hence I had to push it home first. Resigned to my misfortune, I started to push my bike and headed home which was around 5km away.
Foodpanda Rider Helped Me To Get Home
I was pushing my bike along the stretch of poorly-lit highway and I was honestly worried that I might get ran over. Out of a sudden another motorbike stopped right behind of me. He had actually ridden the bike past me a moment ago but returned to lend me a helping hand. He asked me where I was staying and said that he would helped me to get home. Immediately he started to use his foot and pushed the foot peg of my motorcycle to push me forward.

He then continued to send his delivery after helping me to get home! |
Along the way, the young Malay Foodpanda rider asked me politely, "Uncle tinggal dekat mana?" (Where do you live uncle?) Then he continued to push my bike towards the direction of my home. I asked him if I was interfering with his delivery and he reply melted my heart. "Tak apa, makanan boleh tunggu. Saya hantar Uncle balik dulu." (It is ok! The food can wait. I will send you home first Uncle.) Eventually he sent me right to my doorstep, saving me the trouble of pushing my bike for long distance and even saving me from being ran over by cars.
What the Foodpanda Rider Said To Me:
Foodpanda Rider: "Uncle tinggal dekat mana?" (Where do you live uncle?)
Me: Dekat Taman XXX (I live in Taman XXX).
Me: Nanti adik hantar makanan dah lambat lar kan kerana nak tolong uncle? (Your food delivery will be stalled because of me.).
Foodpanda Rider: "Tak apa, makanan boleh tunggu. Saya hantar Uncle balik dulu." (It is ok! The food can wait. I will send you home first Uncle.)
Terima Kasih Adik Fazli (Thank you Fazli)
My deepest gratitude to him for his selfless gesture and deed. Despite knowing that I am a Chinese as I was wearing a singlet and him addressing me as "Uncle", this kind-hearted young Malay Foodpanda rider still insisted to help me to get home. This goes to show that everyone in Malaysia can live in harmony if we are not manipulated by racist politicians who keep on playing the racial cards for their very own selfish survival. To this young Malay Foodpanda rider who is known as Fazli (I hope I spelled his name correctly), thank you for your help and kind gesture. You are a true caring and loving Malaysian that all of us need. You are my hero! May God bless you.
P.S.: Perhaps I should start ordering more food deliveries from Foodpanda 😁
