Honestly I am no hallyu fan to begin with. So I didn't like this song-Blue, when people started to talk about it when it was released by Bingbang on the 22nd of February (2012). I have always thought that Korean bands, boys or girls, are nothing but pretty faces who sing songs which I can barely understand. However...Bigbang proved to me that they can really sing. So yesterday...I actually watch Bigbang's Blue MTV...guess what? I can't stop playing this song anymore. I listened to this damn addictive Blue for 3 hours without any stop while doing my work. It's like it keeps on playing in my mind...automatically! Damn it! Ha :D

So what makes me fall in love with Bigbang and their Blue so damn instantly? Well...the song is totally beautiful. It flows into the deepest recesses of my soul instantly. I don't know why but I feel like I understand the meaning behind Blue. Here's a confession: Listening to Bigbang's Blue actually liberates me and let me feel lighter from the inside. I don't know...I feel that somehow I can relate to this song. It makes me wanna sing my Blues as well...literally! I thought this song is completely different from what I have ever heard. So here's my take on Bigbang's Blue. My unbiased review...

Blue is one rare beautiful love song which manages to weave itself into my heart without being sentimental. The intricacy of the song-Blue, is evident when you listen to how the song flows so fluidly from the rapping parts to the vocal parts. Seungri gives the song a brilliant start with his breezy, melodious vocal. G-Dragon then continued with his rather catchy yet soulful rapping. I really love G-Dragon's voice. Daesung's beautiful vocal gives the song more depth, whilst Taeyang's profound voice paints the identity of the whole song. I must say that I enjoy Top's equally bold rapping which exudes with so much charisma. My hats off for this amazing song arrangement.

Besides the song, I must admit that I really, really love the MTV! I can't help but feel that the beautifully crafted music video adds a lot of dimensions to Bigbang's Blue! Apart from that the singers' attires, the way they carry themselves in the music video is a pleasure to watch. On top of the that, the director clever use of "blue filter" while shooting this MTV, has sublimely given the whole song its unmistakable mood and nostalgic feel! I enjoy the part where Top struts his stuff. His moves and sways exude with so much arrogance and charisma at the same time. Entwine all of that with gripping slow-motion effects and perfectly-timed bobbing shots, you get an impeccable Blue MTV.

Sounds like I am giving Bigbang too much flattering credits aye? Not really folks. After I have listened to Bigbang's Blue (like more than 100 times), I can vouch for this song to worthy of your time. Remember that I don't even know about them 48 hours ago.  Now...do you know that Bigbang's Blue has also won 2 Youtube Gold Medals? Youtube has awarded Bigbang's Blue MTV with gold medals for being "Recently Most Popular" and "Trending". In just 8 days, Blue MTV has drawn almost reached 10 million views. OMG! That translates to more than 1 million views each day. Let's listen to this amazing song, shall we?
