December has always been an eventful month for many of us right and the same goes for me. I have just celebrated my wedding anniversary with my wife. Last year, we had our luncheon at Fugo Ryori Japanese restaurant to celebrate our big day. Unfortunately, we felt it was better to commemorate our special day at home instead. No thanks to the latest Omicron variant, the Covid-19 pandemic is still very much a nightmare for all of us.

Ordering sushi from far, far away will not be ideal especially if the food is already cold. Hence, we decided to order another favourite of ours-Go Noodle House via Grab food delivery. Since there is only one Go Noodle House in Melaka which is in the city centre, it took around 40 minutes for our food delivery to arrive. Still, we were utterly grateful to be able to savour it. Previously, we had to drive all the way to KL just to be able to enjoy it.

We were really excited to have our favourite noodles again after more than a year. Fortunately, all the noodles that we had ordered especially the ones with the soup were still piping hot! As for my dad, he preferred something more "conventional" for his taste buds so we bought the latest KFC Ayam Pedas Nyonya. So what did we order from Go Noodle House via Grab Delivery? Go Noodle House Mi Xian Superior Soup

The Premium Superior Soup and Bursting Meatballs were fabulous!

As usual, we had Go Noodle House's speciality which was their Mi Xian Superior Soup With Bursting Meatballs. The soup was really appetizing thanks to the addition of Yellow Rice Wine (Shao Xing Hua Diao Jiu), hence it is called Premium Superior Soup. Their noodles were also really delectable or al dente. Since it was our anniversary, I had added extra ingredients for all our orders. Besides the 3 signatureBursting Meatballs, I had added another 3 Bursting Meatballs and 3 Mushroom Pork Balls. So yeah! The bowl of noodles was brimming with scrumptious meatballs (9 altogether). 😂

Go Noodle House Spicy Soup Pan Mee With Vinegar

If you love spicy food you will definitely love this!

Another must-try when you order food from Go Noodle House has got to be their Spicy Soup Pan Mee (Vinegar). I love its spicy, flaming hot vinegar which really whetted my appetite for more. I simply could not get enough of it honestly. Despite its lip-smacking spiciness, it is still gentle on the stomach. I had it together with their in-house thick noodles and I had also added another 3 Bursting Meatballs and Mushroom Pork Balls. The thought of it makes my mouth water! I had even added fried anchovies to enrich the taste of the spicy soup pan mee. Dayum!

Our kids got to eat their "tried and tested" Special Dark Sauce Pan Mee with thin noodles. For this meal, you will get 4 complimentary pork balls. Hence, we decided to add 3 Bursting Meatballs and 3 Mushroom Pork Balls plus extra fried anchovies. So despite sharing the same meal, both of them were really full.

The glutton in us didn't stop there. We ordered the signature Trio Platter from Go Noodle House's menu. For the uninitiated, Trio Platter is like a must-have as well when you have ordered all the main dishes. Consisting of circular dried meat slices (Bak Kua in coin shape), fried fu chuk and Taiwanese sausages, rest assured that these snacks will gratify you to the max!

Now let's talk about KFC's latest Ayam Pedas, shall we? To be brutally honest, it was "meh" at best. I thought we were in for something flavourful and new. Unfortunately, this so-called new Ayam Pedas Nyonya fried chicken from KFC tasted like the tom yam flavour that we had during other promotions. So yeah, the taste and texture of this new KFC's menu were more like a gimmick if you ask me.

All in all, we had a blast for our wedding anniversary dinner. Though we didn't get to dine out, we enjoyed our satisfying dinner no less. It's not where you have your meal, rather it is about with whom you get to enjoy your feast. Again, happy wedding anniversary to my one and only beloved wife.
