After the release of sneakers for C-3PO and Yoda, Adidas together with Star Wars is releasing yet another collaboration. This time around it is the Adidas Star Wars Chewbacca to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of "Empire Strikes Back". Unlike the previous two pair of sneakers, this latest pair of Adidas Star Wars Chewbacca is very outlandish and uncanny in terms of its close reference to the character. I would go as far to say that this is the best Adidas X Star Wars sneakers so far.

Arguably one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars franchise, it is amazing to see Chewbacca being acknowledged. This pair of sneakers truly honour Chewbacca through and through down every single detail. By wearing this pair of shoes, you will immediately transformed into Chewbacca yourself. Hence it will be ideal for Halloween as well.

The Adidas Star Wars Chewbacca shoes are made from suede, leather and a faux fur fabric which resembles Chewbacca himself. To truly channel the legendary Wookie Warrior into the pair of shoes, Adidas has used colours consisting of "Chalk White", "Raw Desert" and "Mesa". I must admit that the combination of colours is perfect and has totally morphed the shoes to look like Chewbacca's own two feet.

Chewbacca's belt breathes live into the shoes

Adidas has added the chrome silver "STAR" and "WARS" lace locks to let you know which side of the Chewbacca shoes you are rocking. The most striking (and stunning) addition has got to be the strap on the tongue which is a nod to Chewbacca's belt; He wore this recognizable belt of his during the Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back movie. Frankly speaking, the mini belts have truly breathed life into the pair of shoes and bring them to life! Well designed Adidas! Well played!

The tonal tongue tags are graced with Chewbacca's name and face while his entire 7 feet body has been shrunk into the insole of the shoes. The heel is adorned with the debossed Trefoil logo while the inner tongue tag is further furnished with the logo of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Like I have aforementioned, this is by far the best Star Wars shoes I have ever seen thanks to the immaculate detailing.
