Energizer Power Max P18K Pop Smartphone With A Monstrous 18,000 mAh Battery

Energizer Power Max P18K Pop Smartphone With A Monstrous 18,000 mAh Battery

I am  sure by now when it comes to smartphone innovation, a lot of us would love to see something unique and different; Something that we have never experienced before like folding smartphones, dual-display devices or one with 5 cameras mounted at the back.  How about taking something that we already have and need and then supersized it? That is exactly what Energizer did with their latest Power Max P18K! So what did they supersize? Battery of course duh and 18,000 mAh of juice to be precise! OMG!

Behold the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop

Of course we are all aware that when Energize rolls out their latest smartphone, it is going to go big on battery right? Maybe say...around 6,000 mAh or 7,000 mAh right? Then again nobody is expecting them to cram a whopping 18,000 mAh of juice into their smartphone. This capacity is totally more than most of the powerbank(s) that you have in your pocket or bag right now. How do they even do that?

The back sports a very beautiful finish

To fit 18k of battery juice into the back of a smartphone is not an easy task at all. So far, there is no cutting edge technology that will allow you to have huge battery and pack in a small form factor. Just ask Samsung about their explosive Galaxy Note 7. So instead of trying to shrink the device, the team from Energizer decided to just flaunt the "extra size" of their new Power Max P18K Pop. Why hide it when you can just embrace that little extra thickness. It is a brick no doubt, but it will be a really good one!

So is this thickness pocket-able? :D

How thick you may ask? So with that added 18k of juice, the device is 3cm (30mm) thick which I think is a bit funny but totally acceptable. Why? Imagine you are lugging your smartphone and another powerbank in your pocket or bag, that will be more than 3cm or thickness most of the time right? Then you have the deal the mess that comes with the cables and what not. So to me, that extra that 1.5cm or 2cm is nothing when you can have battery that will last you for 50 days! The best part is, Energizer claims that you can watch 200 hours of video playback on a single charge!  Dayum! This sounds like a phone that you can bring into the jungle. Ha :D

I thought the front-facing selfie camera looks
really good (though the idea was borrowed)

Thought it looks like a brick, it is surprisingly comfortable to hold as it is slightly curved in a way so that it fits snugly in your grip. Under its hood, Power Max P18K Pop is powered by MediaTek Helip P70 processor, complemented by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. There is even micro SDcard storage to expand your storage needs. Good specifications if you ask me.

So far this smartphone has the longest-lasting
battery to date...like really, really long!

You will be greeted by the huge 6.2-inch Full HD display without any notch and it sports really razor thin bezels. Why notch-less? Apparently, Energizer has borrowed something from Vivo NEX Pop-up camera idea and integrate it into this new smartphone of their. With the touch of a button, the selfie camera will pop up featuring 12MP + 2MP camera module. Quite nifty for a smartphone which huge battery if you ask me. Flip the device to the back and you will see the triple-rear cameras that will be your main shooters!

Do you think you will want this smartphone with super battery?

It is said that Energizer Power Max P18K Pop can even be used to jump start your car's battery in times of emergency. I am sure this is doable since they have done extensive research. Of course this smartphone can be a powerbank for other devices or smartphones with its OTG charging. So do you think you will need such smartphone? It comes with a US$799 (RM3,200) price tag and will land in Malaysia around July.
