Welcome to Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie
It is so spacious and cozy
Part of the air-conditioned dining hall.
For those who prefer al fresco, there is a lovely lane for you to enjoy your breads.
This was only the third time I have visited this rustic-looking bakery when my brother introduced it to me years ago. Actually it is a luxury for my family and I to enjoy our breakfast here. To be honest, from price point view, it is relatively more expensive than the premium offering in Malacca. Then again, for me to visit this patisserie again and again means it justifies the price tag that comes with it. In fact, my wife and kids really enjoyed our food here.
If you are outside bakery, you will notice the conspicuous wordings "stone oven" in front of the stony colonial building. Yep! There is a stone oven in Levain which is used to bake all the breads and pastries all day to perfection. Since a traditional stone oven is used instead of electronic substitutes, you will get to enjoy bread and pastries which exude special aroma and texture. No wonder, our family is hooked to this bakery and years for more. :D
We arrived at this breakfast joint of ours around 9:30a.m. which meant that the peak hour crowds in the morning had long gone. So we had the whole place to ourselves that morning. Slowly, we browsed through the myriads of breads, cakes, and desserts right in front of our eyes. To be honest, you would be spoiled for choices. The truth is...we had a hard time deciding what to devour for our first feast of the day. We wish we could take a few more but alas...the capacity of our stomachs is rather limited. So yeah...
Since this was our third time here, we noticed changes as well. The bakery is now bigger to accommodate more patrons. They have renovated the patisserie to have a bigger air-conditioned space for customers to savour their food in comfort. I personally love the backdrop and the ambiance of Levain. The colonial-styled decorations and furniture really add a lot of exquisite touch to the whole place. It is so endearing and cozy which makes one feel so at ease while indulging those scrumptious bread and pastries. Dayum!
If you have not sampled the freshly baked breads and pastries at Levain Boulangerie & Patisserie, do pay them a visit and you will leave wanting for more. If you are near KLCC and are hunting for something to savour, you really need to come over to enjoy their coffee and of course breads. :)
P.S.: Limited parking spaces are available in the bakery at a fee of around RM3 or RM4. You can still park outside for a fee of RM5.
