I am glad that one of my favourite footballers-Christiano Ronaldo has enshrined his name yet again as the top scorer...only this time it is in Spain. Christiano Ronaldo broke the La Liga scoring record for goals in a single season with 40 goals to his name. He managed to write his own history in Spain by only one goal but it is more than enough. I am sure previous record holders-Hugo Sanchez and Telmo Zarra were not happy when they watched Real Madrid thrashed Almeria 8-1 with Ronaldo getting into the score sheet twice. So congratulation to him for being the historic Pinchichi. :) 

Christiano Ronaldo-the record breaker!

So Christiano Ronaldo has scored 53 goals in all competitions this season. However Barcelona's Lionel Messi is just one goal (52 goals) behind him with another match in hand. Hopefully Messi will not be able to score in his final match between Barcelona and Manchester United. I am sure Ronaldo's former boss-Ferguson will be more than happy to help Ronaldo right? So all you Red Devils better shackle Messi and his pals from scoring! Then Manchester United will be Champion of Champions' League and Ronaldo will be European top scorer. Ha :D

Ronaldo's 40 goals have certainly helped Real Madrid to break the 100-goal barrier. Hopefully next year he will be able to guide Madrid to more silverwares. :) OK! Of course Ronaldo was quick to praise his team mates for helping him to score all his 53 goals. "The reason I've scored so many goals is thanks to me team-mates and I'm very grateful to them,'' claimed Ronaldo, who dedicated his very first Pichichi award as La Liga's top scorer to his team mates and adoring fans. "I'm generous with my team-mates because they are the same with me. Without their help I wouldn't have been able to score 40 goals in the league." Well said.
