Last year when we came back to Taiping, we only managed to have a picnic in the very famous Taiping Lake Gardens.We planned to have a walk but couldn't because I injured my feet back then. This year is different. We (especially me) finally had the opportunity to stroll in the iconic Taiping Lake Gardens. We promenaded almost every morning in this huge green garden while we were back in the City of Rain. Morning strolls are really good for us since we had been snacking away.

Welcome to Taiping Lake Gardens

Do you know that this famed Taiping Lake Gardens used to be a mining site before it was converted into a public garden back in 1880? Wow...that was like 131 years ago. This 64 hectares Taiping Lake Garden also happens to be the first public garden in Malaysia. It is amazing that the whole place is still being well-kept. Can you guess why it is called Taiping Lake Gardens? Because there is a lake in the middle of the gardens? Well...there is not 1 but altogether 8 lakes in this huge sanctuary!

I really enjoyed strolling in this beautiful Taiping Lake Gardens.Too bad my leg is still hurting, if not I would have slipped into my jogging shoes and enjoy the scenery in a faster pace. In fact I wish I can live in Taiping and jog in this tranquilizing garden every single morning. Perhaps one day...I will. You see little Jordan accompanied us on our promenade every single morning. But most of the time he would be sleeping in his stroller. Ha :D

While I was there, I saw people from all walks of life walking around, jogging, exercising, dancing, playing badminton...well just about anything you can imagine. I really enjoy being there. Aww...breathing the fresh air made me feel so fresh and energized. It is an utter privilege to bask in the lush greeneries. I can feel the soothing aura seeps into my body and made me feel so "zen". LOL :D

So have you been to this mystical Taiping Lake Gardens before? This is the most beautiful place in Taiping. It is like heaven if you ask me. If you have not...you'd better to so for it helps to keep you sanity. Leave the hustle and bustle of your madding cities and come to this serene refuge. Believe me...you will be more relaxed after taking a stroll here. :)
