I have to admit that Owl City's fireflies has gotta be the NO.1# song in my music chart right now. I have been listening to it for quite some time without knowing the title and the singer of the song. I only found out that it is known as Fireflies after Foong shared it with me through twitter the other day. So yes, this is my favourite-test song of the moment. Fireflies is just out of this world if you ask me. The tune and beats are so unique. Refreshing and vibrant would be the perfect words to describe Owl City's masterpiece. :)

No. The name has nothing to do with the building.

But...do you know how on earth is Owl City? Will you be surprised if I tell you that it is not a band? Owl City is actually a one-man musical project by Adam Young. And this song Fireflies had actually hit the NO.1# spot on Billboard Hot 100 and UK. Super awesome right? Young's music has a lot of disco and electronic flavour in it, but then again his music such as Fireflies sounds so funky and virulent.

Now, do you know how Adam Young coined the name Owl City? Can you give it a good guess? :p You see he was in the 2nd Grade...in one of the show-and-tell session...one of his friends happened to bring an OWL for his show-and-tell presentation. When he was about to start, the Owl manage to escape and all the classmates tried their best to capture the owl again. So...the whole moment was about...well the owl. So Adam Young used the name Owl City ever since. Now you know. :)
