The Significance of the Full Moon Celebration

The full moon celebration, often known as the baby's first milestone, is steeped in tradition and meaning, especially for the Chinese(?). It symbolises the completion of the first month of life, a period where both mother and child are considered most vulnerable. Making it through this time is indeed a cause for celebration. It's not just about marking the passage of time but acknowledging the health, growth, and well-being of the newborn. This day holds a special place in our hearts as it represents our hopes and dreams for Jadiel's future.

A Family Blessed: Jadiel's Arrival

From the moment Jadiel entered our world, he became the centre of our universe. My wife and I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love, blessed by his arrival. His tiny giggles and innocent gazes have filled our home with an indescribable warmth. But it wasn't just us who were enchanted; Jadiel's elder brother, Jordan, and his sister, Jasmine, were equally elated if not even more. Their excitement at welcoming their youngest baby brother into their lives was palpable, making the celebration even more meaningful.

Celebrating With Loved Ones

The joy of Jadiel's full moon celebration was shared not just within our immediate family but extended to granduncles and grandaunts, uncles, aunts, and cousins. It was a day when both my family and my wife's family came together, reinforcing the bonds that tie us. We also took a moment to pray to God Guan Yin and our ancestors, expressing our gratitude for this blessing and seeking their guidance and protection for Jadiel.

A Feast of Love: Cakes and Pastries

No celebration is complete without the sweetness of cakes and pastries, and Jadiel's full moon celebration was no exception. And of course, we will also prepare red eggs and Ang Ku Kueh which signify prosperity and good fortune. Moreover, we also carefully selected an array of delicious treats that symbolised happiness and good fortune. Besides, we purchased some Hokkaido Cream Puffs and even a cake to celebrate this happy day of ours. Sharing these sweet "treats" with our family members during the gathering was a gesture of spreading the joy that Jadiel has brought into our lives.

The full moon celebration of Jadiel boy was a day filled with laughter, love, and a deep sense of contentment. It was an affirmation of the journey we have embarked upon as a family, a journey that promises to be filled with countless moments of joy and learning. As we watched Jadiel surrounded by his loving family, we couldn't help but feel blessed. In his smile, we saw the reflection of our collective love and happiness. I must confess that I feel really, really grateful to have another baby in my life. I want to thank the blessings given by the God(s) and my ancestors, especially my late mother.
