Behold the amazing Timberland Floating Forest by Stefano Boeri. In an effort to highlight the significance of urban greening in the fight against climate catastrophe, the architect Stefano Boeri collaborated with Timberland to design a tree-filled pavilion that floats on Milan's Darsena. This architecture reminds me of The Valley in Amsterdam which focuses on the luxuriant forest as its theme.

Timberland commissioned Boeri and his team to build an installation for the Salone del Mobile design event in Milan that would educate the public on the significance of regenerative materials and methods. The final "Floating Forest" exhibit consists of approximately 600 plants and 30 species that have been examined and chosen for their environmental benefits in urban settings. Definitely, this will be a welcome addition for the urbanites.

Boeri claims that this Floating Forest is a green graft in the heart of Milan. It is an ecosystem capable of expanding natural biodiversity that will activate environmental benefits connected with urban forestry in conjunction with other green spaces in the city. In other words, this project aims to increase awareness about our environment while encouraging the public to appreciate our nature.

Designed to be multisensory, the walk through the exhibit stops at four essential locations relating to distinct senses and enables visitors to gain additional knowledge through virtual reality (VR) experiences. Experience 01 highlights the brand's "Timberloop Take Back Program," which encourages customers to return their used products for repair and resale, or disassembly and recycling. Experience 02 is dedicated to the brand's GreenStride soles, which are composed of 75 per cent sugar cane and tree-derived rubber.

At the conclusion of the project, all of the trees will be donated to a local non-profit organization, while the materials used to construct it will be repurposed.
