Elon Musk first suggested constructing an "old school" drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant" at one of Tesla's Supercharger stations back in 2018. He then subsequently confirmed plans for a "futuristic diner/drive-in cinema" in February of 2019. The venue's possible design and characteristics have now been depicted in fresh drawings as shown in this article.

Tesla Diner Will Replace Shakey's Pizza In Santa Monica

Shakey's Pizza Parlor occupies the existing property, which, if everything goes according to plan, will shortly be replaced by Tesla's 24-Hour Diner. Apparently, this Tesla Diner will feature a two-story cafe together with a 29-stall Supercharger station. Yes! So you can recharge your Tesla electric vehicle while enjoying your meals and perhaps even a movie.

The lower level of the Tesla Diner will house the kitchen, internal bar, booths, and outdoor open-air bar area. Moving to the next flood, the upper level will feature dining sections with a bar and theater-style seating overlooking two enormous movie screens in the parking lot. Sounds like something very "old-school" indeed but I wouldn't mind enjoying my meals while charging my car.
