Despite the fact that the automotive giant released this SUV in Malaysia last month, Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) has only recently revealed the official pricing for the XC40 Recharge Pure Electric SUV. The new model also holds the distinction of being Malaysia's first locally assembled EV.

The Malaysian variation, also known as the P8 Recharge, has a 300kWh dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration that produces 408 PS and 660Nm of torque. The SUV has a top speed of 180km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds, according to the official specs sheet.

Maximum Driving Range of 418km

The XC40 Recharge Pure Electric has a maximum driving range of 418km under the WLTP standard and comes standard with one pedal drive capability and a 78kWh battery. When charged using a typical household 3-pin socket, the SUV takes around 34 hours to fully charge from 0%.

Drastically cut short your charging time from 11 hours to 7 hours when you use the Type 2 charging connector.
