Surprisingly, the theme for this year's Ramadhan feast is "Semarak Rasa," which translates loosely as "The Spread of Flavours." The cuisine was undeniably delicious, but it also had a "homey" vibe to it. Having said so, if you are unable to return to your hometown to sample your mother's food, this is the finest option.

We couldn't get enough of the roast lamb, which was tender and delicious. The grilled satays with slightly browned beef were quite tender and tasty. With the addition of the peanut sauce, you'll have a fiesta in your mouth!

My wife, children, and I were pleasantly surprised by the Ramadan buffet dinner at Holiday Inn Melaka. The chefs and their outstanding culinary team will be preparing an awesome spread of flavorful delectable cuisines such as salads and appetisers, soups, a selection of assorted bread and rolls, mouth-watering quick bites from the Grilled Stations, Roast and Action Stations such as the Carvery, Noodles, Deep-fry and Pasta Station.

Those with a sweet tooth can indulge in the nectarous delicacies served by Holiday Inn Melaka. A range of sweet delights awaits you, including assorted Malay and Nyonya kuih, fresh fruits, ABC, Cendol, and a selection of flavoured Malaysian ice creams, 'pulut' (sticky rice), assorted French pastries, assorted sweet 'bubur' (sweet porridge), and more. Personally, I enjoy the Malay Kuih, especially during the Ramadhan feast. With its dripping molten gula Melaka, the ondeh-ondeh was quite divine. Congratulations to the crew that handcrafted these treats, which resemble works of art in my opinion.

Personally, I couldn't get enough of the fried kueh teow served directly in front of our eyes by the expert chef. The noodle texture actually combined beautifully with the sauce and egg, providing it that recognisable delectable taste complete with the fragrant "wok hei." Of course, the Kambing Golek is a must-try when paired with the various sauces of your choice. By the way to enjoy your Buka Puasa Ramadhan Buffet while listening to familiar, calming traditional Hari Raya tunes.

Overall, my family and I had a great time at the Holiday Inn Melaka's Ramadan buffet meal. Aside from the wonderfully tasty and sumptuous variety of food, we were simply captivated by the various cuisines that we could sample. We had to make difficult choices because there were literally too many different foods. Laughter I also have to commend the banquet staff for their wonderful service. They were always polite and helpful. I owe them gratitude for the limitless cappuccinos and lattes that I was able to enjoy. So I'll be back to Holiday Inn Melaka for more Ramadan feasts!
