After the unveiling of Mavic Air 2, those who have been waiting for a slightly smaller version of the drone will be happy with this latest release from DJI. Introducing DJI Mini 2 which is poised to become to be the best entry-level drone in the market again. Its footprint and compact for factor has been retained but on the inside, the motors of this quadcopter drone has been improved along with other features. Hence you could say the DJI Mini 2 is an upgrade to its predecessor.
Do note that the DJI Mini 2 is not a complete overhaul but instead a refinement of what has been really good. The DJI Mini 2 is now capable of recording videos at 4K format at 30fps. It utilizes its integrated 1/2.3-inch, 12MP camera sensor which gives more details and depth to your aerial drone recording.

DJI Mini 2 having a range of up to 10KM!
Like all DJI drones, the Mini 2's footage will of course be buttery smooth and stable thanks to the on-board 3-axis gimbal. With the integrated gimbal, the drone can easily offset any wind, movement and any other factors. Together with image capture modes and other pre-programmed movements settings, you can now snap high quality photos and shoot videos easily by using DJI Mini 2 drone. Hence you can say that quite a lot will be automated for you when you are using the Mini 2.
The DJI Mini 2 is really compact and weighs only 249 grams
DJI claims that the motors for Mini 2 have been upgraded to enable it to accelerate faster in flight and achieve even higher speed. The boosted motors can now perform more efficiently, allowing the drone to fly for up to 31 minutes in a single charge. The enhanced motors have also allowed the drone to resist level 5 winds and can even fly to a maximum height (altitude) of 4,000m which is really, really amazing given its compact form factor.
What's in the box when you buy DJI Mini 2?
Here's an other amazing upgrade: The drone will no longer be relying on the previous "enhanced Wi-Fi" video transmission. Instead the Mini 2 will be employing DJI's very own OcuSync 2.0 which doubles the effective range of real-time video transmission to a staggering 6.2 miles (9.98km)! That's almost 10km which is insane. In other words, video transmission will remain stable despite the further distances. The Mini 2 retains other awesome features of its famous predecessor such as obstacle collision, automated landing, altitude locking and of course geo-fencing.
