Under Armour Pride Shoes 2020-HOVR Phantom 1 Slip

Under Armour launched its Pride Shoes 2020 the HOVR Phantom 1 Slip which sports rainbow tie-dye print. Altogether there are 17 apparels and accessories for UA Pride Collection 2020 together with a new UA Pride Grant Program.

Under Armour has released its Pride Shoes 2020 HOVR Phanton 1 Slip. In conjunction with Pride Month, the sports company has decided to create this pair of shoes based on beautiful rainbow tie-dye print. Apart from being very attractive, tie-dye print was used to signify the original Pride Flag which was hand-dyed in San Francisco by in 1978 by then the famous Gilbert Baker. Still this idea really breathes life into the shoes, making them bubbly and colourful.

A total of 17 pieces of hoodies, backpacks, socks, headbands, t-shirt and of course shoes are unveiled for Under Armour's 2020 Pride Collection. However the one which took the limelight is of course the HOVR Phantom 1 Slip. The rainbow tie-dye printed shoes boasts a laceless design and the blue heel actually serves as a nod of approval for the year 2020 EuroPride parade which is supposed to be taking place in Greece. To complete the Pride shoes, the heel, tongue tabs and outsole of HOVR Phantom 1 Slip is showered with vivid, vibrant colours.

The Pride footwear from Under Armour is actually a collaboration between the company and the members of Unified, UA’s LGBTQ+ employee resource group. Perry William who is the Senior Manager of Commercial Optimization from Under Armour said:

The allyship that the design team has built with Unified is extremely important. Having the opportunity to be a part of the many rounds of design review and feedback gave us ownership of the collection and, at the end of the day, a shoe we are really proud of. I’m looking forward to continuing this partnership with the design team for future Pride collections.

Besides designing beautiful apparels and vibrant shoes for Pride Month, a new UA PRIDE grant Program was also announced by Under Armour. The grant ranging from US$2,500 to US$15,000 was conceived to aid LGBTQ+ organizations to cope with financial challenges during this COVID-19 pandemic.
