Pay Fong Middle School Students Built Their Entire School In Minecraft

8 Pay Fong Middle School Students showed their love for their school by building the entire school in Minecraft. The construction which took 79 days to complete is an amazing feat that goes to show that the students have been well educated by all their teachers.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, 8 Students from Pay Fong Middle School Melaka (培风中学) have decided to build their school that they miss so much in Minecraft. Unlike others who might be idling at home, these 8 students from the only independent school in Melaka took their "lego stacking" skills to a whole new level, building an exact replica of their school from scratch in Minecraft. Their extraordinary feat is nothing short of breathtaking and each of them truly deserves a pat on the back.

To the uninitiated, building a house in the virtual world is already an uphill task (for me); But these 8 students from Pay Fong Middle School did the impossible and built everything that they know about their beloved school using every single virtual brick that they could gather in Minecraft. All in all, these students had built 6 blocks of buildings, 1 multi-purpose hall, 1 all-weather running track, 3 basketball courts and a futsal court. That's not all, they had even gone the extra mile by "planting" the 2 huge familiar Yellow Flame Trees (黄花书) that have been accompanying the school and students, serving as their symbolic protectors.

It appears that these 8 students from Pay Fong Middle School really love their educational institution a lot as they have ensured that nothing is being left behind in their epic Minecraft masterpiece. From the beautiful fish pond to the lush greenery that is omnipresent in the school, they had meticulously "crafted" all the leaves and branches down to the smallest detail. Those who have visited the school during its Annual School Anniversary Celebration will agree that this carbon copy of the school in Minecraft is really, really amazing and to some extent-unbelievable.

From the comments in a Facebok posting published by one of the 8 students, it is obvious that everyone is full of praise for what they have accomplished. A lot of proud alumni from Pay Fong Middle School are truly mesmerized to see their entire alma mater in Minecraft. They were all in awe and of course this made them reminisce about their good old schooling time. It evokes so much nostalgia as if one is walking down the memory lane. Truly, this is an incredulous master stroke that had required a lot of patience, talent and of course unconditional love.

Then again as the saying goes, "Nothing worthwhile comes easily." It is reported that the 8 students had started to build their school in Minecraft from the ground up since the 18th of March. The crew also live-streamed their whole construction process, showing everyone what their unwavering affection for the school means. It took them a staggering 79 days to complete their "construction". On the 4th of June, the Minecraft version of Pay Fong Middle School was officially unveiled, much to the delight and astonishment of everyone. Yours truly me was truly flabbergasted as well!

On the day of unveiling, the 8 Pay Fong Middle School students put on their school uniforms and stood in the center of their school (main basketball court) to take a "photograph". Surely this historic moment will be priceless and it goes to show how much these students love their school. More importantly this monumental achievement of the Pay Fong Middle School Melaka students has also shown that they have been well educated by their dedicated and devoted teachers. Otherwise they would not be spending months building their entire school in Minecraft right? Hats off to the 8 master builders and their teachers.

P.S.: Pay Fong Middle School is a non-profit independent school which does not get any direct funding from the government. The school relies on kind donations from the public and school fees to sustain its operation. Hence it is hard hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
