"What will Mi Band 5 look like?" This is one of the questions that a lot of people have been asking about the world's most famous fitness tracker. Now ahead of its official launch on the 11th of June, Xiaomi Mi Band 5 has finally been unveiled by Xioami themselves. In a poster posted on Weibo by the company itself, we now know what the next iteration of Mi Band will look like. Let's find out if it will be better than Mi Band 4.

Mi Band 5 Will Be Launched on the 11th of June

From the glorious photo, we now have an official good look at Mi Band 5 and some of the features that we can experience and enjoy. This latest version of the world's most popular fitness tracker has always been in the forefront of the wearable race with its ultra competitive pricing and bucketload of features. For starters, we now know that it will be available in 4 different colour straps of Green, Red, Yellow and of course original Black.

However unlike all the previous leaks that we could gather online, it does not seem to house any "internal camera" yet. Neither is there any revolutionary upgrade in terms of design and aesthetic. Perhaps the bezels are a bit thinner but other than that there seems to be no huge changes. From the poster, we can assume that Mi Band 5 will come with at least 3 new features.

Mi Band 5 VS Mi Band 4: Should You Upgrade?

Now let us have a closer look at the poster, shall we? One of the displays of Mi Band 5 (yellow) shows that the fitness band can now track rope-skipping, yoga and also exercising on a rowing machine. Another display (red) shows that Mi Band 5 can now track woman's menstrual  cycle which will be a real plus for ladies and women to be more aware about their health and fitness. It is also interesting to note (blue) that it will be able to detect your stress level as well. Last but not least the global version of the fitness tracker could be supporting NFC as indicated by one of the displays (black).

Do you think there will really be an integrated camera (under the display) as previously leaked? Will it be a good (worthy) upgrade from Mi Band 4? I am wondering as well. What do you expect to see in this new version of mi band? It is expected to have a retail price of US$30 (RM129). Will Mi Band 5 still be the best cheapest Fitness tracker in its class in year 2020?
