You Will Always Lose Against Risk Takers

You and I have our risk muscle and we really need to keep it in tip-top condition by trial and error of new things. This is when you need to bite off more than you can chew! Take risk or you will be defeated.

Do you know who we will lose against in our life? Risk takers. People who take risks are the ones you will lose against. We are actually like those elastic rubber bands that we see everywhere in our household. We will only be useful when we are "stretched". In other words, we can only achieve something based on how we are attempting it. If you feel that you are underachieving in your life, most probably it is because so little is being attempted by you, no?

It's time to have a leap of faith.

More often than not, a lot of us would rather stay inside our comfort zone and not do anything that will be risky. We often tie risky and impossible together to deter us from doing anything great as we are afraid to do what others deem not achievable. But the thing is: You will never ever tap the inner talents that you possess unless you attempt to do the impossible. The truth is risk is part of every success plan. In order to excel, you need to shed that mediocre mentality which is limiting your potential. As Francois de la Rochefoucauld said it best, "Mediocre minds usually dismiss anything that reaches beyond their own understanding."

Will it be the road less taken?

Now we need that little something from within to nudge us-the willingness to take risk. Calvin Coolidge said, "We do no need more intellectual power, we need more spiritual power. We do not need more things that are seen, we need more of the things that are unseen." So it is time that we flex our "risk-taking" muscle. You and I have our risk muscle and we really need to keep it in tip-top condition by trial and error of new things. This is when you need to bite off more than you can chew!

Are you a comfort seeker?

People who fail are those who set their standards so unbelievably low and keep the bar at such a safe level. By doing so, they think that they will never ever run the risk of failure. Then again they have already failed in the first place. Unless you muster that courage to enter the beehive, you will never be able to savour the sweet taste of honey. If you do not want to risk anything, you will never get anything in return.

Those who take risk will be rewarded handsomely.

Deep water is what great ship will always navigate into. If you dare for nothing in your life, it means that you can hope for nothing as well. Always remember that achievement always involves risk. Can you steal second base if you still keep your foot on the first base? It is time to step out of your comfort zone. He who does not share will not get his share.
