National Hockey Player Chua Boon Huat Killed In An Accident

I couldn't believe that Chua Boon Huat, one of our country's longest service hockey players was killed in an accident early this morning at 2:25a.m. The tragic accident, involving his Proton Perdana and and a water tank lorry happened on the Damansara Puchong Highway (LDP) near the Kelana Jaya LRT Station. Chua Boon Huat was found stuck in the wreakage and he died at the scene due to serious head injuries. It was really a shocking news as he is only 33 years old.

Chua Boon Huat-My Deepest Condolence

So far the cause of the accident has yet to be determined. But it was reported that Chua Boon Huat had rammed his Proton Perdana into the side highway cleanliness lorry. Seriously? Or there is another cause to this accident? Judging from the photo, the impact was really devastating. Hopefully a thorough investigation could be carried out to determine the real cause. I personally feel sad to see such a loyal hockey player for Malaysia has to go so soon. Gone too soon and too young. *sigh*:(

Hailed from Bukit Cina, Malacca, Chua Boon Huat is one of the longest serving hockey players who made his debut at the tender age of 17 in  the 1998 Commonwealth game. He has earned more than 300 caps for Malaysia and he is certainly a legend for us. He is a great leader for the younger players and is certainly going to have a bright future to be our Malaysian coach one day. Unfortunately fate decides otherwise! My deepest condolence to Chua Boon Huat's family. May he rest in peace now.

P.S.: Accidents could happen to just about anyone. Please drive safely everyone.
