We Malaysians, especially the working youths have one common dream-to have a house which we can call our HOME. Unfortunately it appears that property prices in Malaysia keep on increasing at an exponential rate...so much so that ordinary Malaysians can no longer afford to buy a comfortable home for themselves. 2275 Malaysians have been interviewed recently and a staggering 75% of them feel that the government is not doing enough to curb the rising property prices in Malaysia. And this coming General Election on 5th of May 2013 will decide whether ordinary Malaysians can own their so-called dream houses or not.
I wanna thank Iproperty MY for this brilliant infographic. Obviously most of us Malaysians would want to be able to buy affordable houses instead of having a subsidy right? So no matter who will win in this 13th General Election-whether it is Barisan Nasional or Pakatan Rakyat, they have to ensure that the top 3 policies (as shown in the infographic) must be fulfilled. 21% of the respondents wanted corruption to be eradicated, another 22% wanted equality for all races and most importantly another 22% want more affordable and secure housing for them. Are you listening Najib? How about you Anwar?
