Finally I managed to lay my hands around the prized watch that I had been hunting for like...ages; Or was it the other way round? After searching high and low for this elusive vibratable Casio watch, I can safely say that it is comfortably wrapping my left wrist. Locating for this dream watch of mine is never easy. Previously I have tried to find a vibratable Casio watch in local shops but I couldn't. So I used the internet to find see if I am lucky. Guess what? I did find the watch that I want...but to my dismay...Casio's online shop is not shipping anything to Malaysia! Why?
Not only Casio's Online Shop is not selling to Malaysians; other reputable online shops selling watches and time piece are also shutting their doors to the people in Malaysia. Why aren't they going to ship their watches to Malaysia? So last week I decided to hunt for this rare vibratable Casio watch again in Jusco Aeon Bandaraya. I stepped into the first time piece shop. Their answer was NO; The second shop-NO; The third shop-NO. I felt kinda dejected by then. Then I found myself standing in front of City Chain. I unwillingly dragged my feet into the shop.
I looked around and saw hundreds of watches. I felt that I was in for another disappointment. Reluctantly I pried open my big mouth and asked the salesgirl if the shop happen to have any vibratable Casio watch and I was expecting another NO. NO~I was wrong. She nodded and walked me to the front panel glass and showed me the elusive Casio Vibratable G-Shock watch that I have been looking for. She took the time piece out and demonstrated to me how vibratable this G-Shock is! Goodness...it was vibrating...and I was on cloud nine.
"Thank you. I am going to take it!" I told the delighted salesgirl. Then I looked at the price tag. It read RM406. Perhaps you can get it cheaper online right? It didn't matter at all. All I wanted was to get this vibratable Casio watch. I paid for the watch and hurriedly rode my back home. On my way back, I just couldn't contain my euphoria. I kept on smiling thinking about the watch wrapping my wrist later...Haha :D Now...may I present you arguably my most expensive dream watch ever-the Casio G-Shock G-7510-1V!
I have always love watches from Casio. They cost a bit more but they are built to last forever (except for the batteries of course). I have had 2 Casio watches previously. One has been stolen and the other one had to make way for my latest Casio. Obviously the main reason I wanted to buy Casio G-Shock G-7510-1V is because it is a vibratable watch! Now I am sure you are wondering, "Why do you need a watch that vibrates right?"
To answer that question, you have to first know the problem that I had been facing until I have this watch. You see...I am sleeping in the same room with my wife and baby. Every morning I need to wake up earlier than both of them to prepare for work. What I used to do was to set my alarm using my Nokia E72. It has been an utter nightmare as my alarm would usually wake them up as well. Besides if I were to put my phone near me, the radiation would have disrupted my sleep. :( That is why I got myself this watch.
So now I can wake myself up with the help of my new vibratable Casio G-Shock watch. There are 3 individual alarm "clocks" and 1 snooze alarm which are really handy. Now I am sleeping with this watch every single night. LOL :D This watch does have the usual beeper alarms but at the touch of a button it will be instantly transformed to a vibrating wrist watch. Now I will get hourly signal without disturbing others. Moreover there is also auto-light switch that corresponds to your body movement. How cool is that huh?
The following are the complete features of my Casio G-Shock G-7510-1V:
Although Casio watch might come with relatively hefty price, it is one of the most reliable watches I have ever had in my entire lifetime. In fact...it is the only name that I trust to wrap around my wrist. So far I am very, very satisfied with this vibratable watch of mine. I have a feeling that this Casio G-Shock will be my very last watch that will accompany me for at least another....62 years. Maybe you can still hear my watch vibrating while you shovel earth over my coffin. Haha :D
