"Egg" Your Way To Fitness!

WOW! I am willing to eat this breakfast everyday!

Yes, there are myth (or facts) saying that eating egg will increase your blood pressure and arrest your cardiac! But really, consuming egg is really not that bad. If it were, if wouldn't be champion of breakfast would it? No wonder my late grandma is so fit in her early 80s. Must be her everyday half-boiled egg breakfast! I ate a lot too. Wow, that's why now I am so fit? =p

Okay, let's stop egg-ing around and get to the real stuff! Yolking your diet could rein in your appetite. Saint Louis University scientists found that people who eats eggs as part of their breakfast consume fewer calories the rest of the day than those who skip the eggs.

In the study, people were given one of the two breakfast:
  1. 2 scrambled eggs, 2 slices of toast, a 1 tablespoon of reduced-calorie fruit spread
  2. 1 bagel, 2 tablespoons of cream cheese, and 3 ounces of nonfat yogurt.
Take note: Even though both the breakfasts were equal in calories, the egg eaters consumed 264 fewer calories by the end of the day. Researchers aren't sure why eating eggs appears to reduce hunger and food intake, but the think that the meal's higher protein and fat content may lead to greater satiety!

Egg tarts could do the tricks too!

Okay let's put it this way. If after eating eggs for breakfast may cut down your calorie consumption later on. Let's do some calculation: 264 x 30 days= 7920 calories. So each month you could cut down almost 8 kilo calories. And what does this mean? Healthier heart and fitter you right? So eating eggs is bad MAYBE just another myth! But don't consume too much eggs of course. Moderate is the key okay! =)
