I bet most of us have found out about the name through the (deliberately) leaked Proton Inspira Brochure. So no more confusions surrounding this rebadge of Mitsubishi Lacer EX anymore. Here's another good news: Proton Inspira is now officially open for booking for those Proton Inspira fans (Mitsubishi Lancer EX). Have you placed yours yet?

What colour do you like your Proton Inspira to be? Altogether there are 4 different colors for fans to choose from: red, black, white and silver (I will opt for black though). And the pricing for your Proton Inspira starts from RM79,880 for the baseline 1.8 manual up to around RM95,000 for the premium Proton Inspira. The official price tag for the 3 variants of Proton Inspira will only be released at the official launch on the 10th of Novemeber 2010. So another 27 days more to go and counting.

Since our Proton Inspira is the carbon copy of the Mitsubishi Lancer EX, the engines used for our Proton Inspira are those found under the hood of Mitsubishi Lancer EX. Yupe! Mitsubishi 16-valve DOHC MIVEC engines will be used and there are 3 different variants of them. So you can pick your Proton Inspira with the choice of Mitsubishi' 4B10 1.8 liter engine with 5-speed manual, or the Mitsubishi's 4B10 1.8 liter engine with 6-speed virtual ratio CVT gearbox or the premium 4B11 2.0 liter engine also with 6 -speed virtual ratio CVT gearbox. However the premium Proton Inspira comes with paddle shift which offer superior handling experience. So which is your choice?
