Today, Proton has finally "softly" launched their new "killer" Proton Inspira. I believe this Proton Inspira has really, really generated a lot of public attention and buzz. I have never ever seen any Proton car is able to grasp our interest just like how this Proton Inspira can. After all our Proton Inspira is essentially just a rebadge of Mitsubishi Lancer with the more fine-tuned suspension and Lotus handling thrown in. Then again...some anti-Proton legions have started retaliated against this new Proton Inspira claiming that it is a pirated version of Mitsubishi Lancer GT. I have to disagree with them because this is a win-win situation.

Please correct me if I am wrong, according from my understanding the rebadged of Mitsubishi Lancer GT into Proton Inspira is a result of the mutual agreement between Proton and Mitsubishi. Likewise Mitsubishi will have the rights to rebadge Proton's Exora and Persona and market it to the people in the Land of Rising Sun. So it is a win-win situation where both companies benefited from each other. But then again...I believe that Proton is reaping more success from this partnership. So kudos to Proton for making this possible despite criticism from anti-Proton legions.

This morning, Proton Inspira was launched in Mutiara Damansara by Dato' Haji Syed Zainal Abidin, who is the managing director of Proton Holdings Berhad Group. Clad in a black uniform, he presented the red Proton Inspira to the eager public. He claimed that the company planned to sell 1,600 Proton Inspira each month. I believe this target is reachable although Proton Inspira price tag can be considered relatively expensive to most Malaysians. Then again, if you are an avid fan of a Lancer...you know Proton Inspira is a rock bottom bargain that you cannot get elsewhere! You have to bear in mind that Proton Inspira is actually the improved version of Mitsubishi Lancer GT!
