Free Upgrade to Unifi's Disney+ Hotstar Premium

Disney+ Hotstar will be increasing its subscription fees. I am glad I will be enjoying free upgrade to Unifi's Dinsey+ Hotstar Premium for free.

If you're anything like me, your world just got a whole lot brighter with the recent announcement from Unifi. As a relatively new (6 months old) Unifi customer after I have dumped Astro, I'm practically dancing with joy over the news of a free upgrade to Disney+ Hotstar Premium! I was so worried that the customers like me will have to bear the cost of the new Disney+ Hotstar Premium subscription no thanks to the price hike by Disney.

Thank goodness Unifi has chosen to absorb the cost for us existing customers. However, I understand that not everyone will be in the same upgraded "premium ship" like mine. Let's dive deep into this delightful development and explore what it means for us, the loyal subscribers of Unifi. And let me tell you, had this upgrade not been on the horizon, I might have been faced with the tough decision to bid adieu to my Disney+ subscription.

For those of us ALREADY enjoying Unifi TV Packs bundled with Disney+ Hotstar (like me), we're about to be treated to the platform's Premium Plan at no additional charge. Thank you very much Unifi! So, keep your eyes peeled for the 24th of April 2024, when this enchantment begins.

That means, I will be sticking with Unifi longer.

As aforementioned, new subscribers aiming for packages like the Unifi TV Ultimate Pack will start with the Basic Plan. It's a clear signal from Unifi: loyalty comes with its rewards. So it pays to start early I guess. Glad I made the switch last year.

It's worth highlighting that those subscribed to Disney+ Hotstar as an a la carte or quarterly add-on will enjoy the Premium benefits only until their current billing cycle concludes. To maintain these privileges beyond that point, an additional RM9.90 per month will be necessary.
