A few days ago was the day that all moms in the world feel even more appreciated by their family, especially their children. Yep! It was Mother's Day. So on that day, Jordan boy and Jasmine girl work up earlier than usual to prepare Minnie Mouse egg toast and sausages for Mother's Day. It is a yearly commitment of theirs which I hope could be extended to many other days. 😂

Both Jordan boy and Jasmine girl are not good at cooking so I have guided them to prepare simple yet edible breakfast for their mommy. Both of them were actually quite enthusiastic about this Mother's Day breakfast. They even reminded me to wake them up earlier the previous day. Ha 😁

First up, both of them fried a few cheese sausages for their mom's special edition annual breakfast. Not a difficult task but they just had to make sure that all sides of the sausages are equally cooked (burnt). After that, both of them whipped a few eggs that would be usedfor their special egg toast.

Since they do not help to cook on a daily basis, cracking the eggs "cleanly" was a bit of a challenge for them. Still, they managed to pull it off pretty well. Two slices of bread were then submerged in the bowl of whipped eggs. After making sure the bread had absorbed enough egg, they then transferred the now-yellowish bread into the frying pan.

I would say that both of them will have no problem cooking on their own in the future as they seem to hold quite a lot of potential to prepare edible food. 😝 After tossing the flipping the bread, their egg toast was almost ready. They then added 2 slices of cheese to "glue" both slices of bread together. Just when I thought that was it, they wanted to be even more creative.

Jordan boy and Jasmine girl suggested that they create a "Minnie Mouse Egg Toast" for their mommy. They sliced the cheesy sausages to make the eyes and smiling mouth of Minnie Mouse. They also gave Minni Mouse her cute little hands with the sausages. Lastly, They used Nutella Biscuits as Minnie Mouse's ears. Ha 😆

Washing Mommy's Feet to Show Filial Piety

Always remember the sacrifices your mother has made!

By the time, Mommy had awakened, her breakfast was ready. But before she could enjoy the special breakfast, both Jordan boy and Jasmine girl helped their mother wash and dry her feet with warm water. After being seated, both our children took turns using a cloth to gently wash their mom's feet. They then used another new towel to dry her legs. Hopefully, this tradition of filial piety and gratitude will be practised by them every single year.

Mommy is happiest when she sees her two babies. 😍

After getting her feet cleansed, Mommy finally got to taste her Minnie Mouse Egg Toast and Sausages for Mother's Day. She was very ecstatic at the sight of her breakfast. Touched, my wife happily ate the breakfast that both her babies had prepared for her. She also received a handmade flower and card from her two big babies. A great mother is one who puts her children before herself and that is what my wife is. Our babies and I know how much she has sacrificed for all of us. For that, we will always love you.
