We used to believe that handheld gaming was a dwarf compared to our computers or consoles. Not anymore especially with the introduction of the Asus ROG Ally handheld gaming console. The Asus ROG Ally is a mobile gaming device with a 7-inch screen and a gamepad with analogue sticks that point in different directions, a D-pad in the shape of a disc, four action buttons, and small system buttons. It has two shoulder buttons, two triggers, and two paddles on the back, so it has all the features you'd expect from a modern controller. The screen has a 1080p resolution and a pixel density of 314ppi, which Asus says is double that of a 32-inch 4K display. This means that it shows a lot of information in a small amount of screen space.  The screen also has a frame rate of 120 Hz, support for multiple touches, and AMD's FreeSync Premium technology.

Under the hood, Asus ROG Ally is powered by AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme consisting of eight individual cores. The processor is powered by 16 threads and boasts an amazing graphics performance of  8.6 teraflops. AMD's RDNA 3 engine is used as the backbone, complemented by in-house upscaling technologies namely RSR and FSR. Thanks to this combination of raw powers, Asus ROG Ally graphics power can easily match those of game consoles!

Armoury Crate SE, which is Asus's own game launcher, a light weight of just 608 grams, a built-in mic, and a fingerprint reader for Windows Hello are some of the other features.
