MyCanoe created a two-person canoe that folds similar to Oru's folding kayaks a few years ago, providing a collapsible watercraft option for those seeking a larger deck than Oru offers. Behold the foldable MyCanoe Solo 2 that can carry 136 kg in the water. With the MyCanoe Solo 2, the company is now producing a smaller version for solo water exploration. The best part is that it is foldable and is not bigger than your ordinary guitar case. In fact, it easily fits inside any car.

Similar to Oru's designs, the boat collapses into a bundle that fits comfortably in the trunk of any car. It is really simple to carry this foldable canoe to nearby lakes and rivers. It does not come in the form of your ordinary canoe when folded. Hence, you have a lot more space on the deck, allowing for a more adaptable riding position and extra storage space for your belongings.

The MyCanoe Solo 2 unfolds into a full-sized, single-person canoe measuring 114 x 31 inches and weighing just 8.6 kg (19 pounds). When assembled, the canoe's shape is held in place by a pair of buckling straps that run from one side to the other. These straps could be used to secure freight if you choose to carry anything while paddling. It includes a built-in seat so you can sit comfortably while exploring the water. Then again, you can alternatively lay the seat flat if kneeling is a more comfortable paddling position.

Can Support up to 136 kg of weight

It supports up to 136kg (300 pounds), so you can bring along a fully-loaded cooler and a ton of additional gear, if the deck has enough space. There are optional stabilizers that can be attached to the sides of the canoe to make it suitable for rough-water paddling and stand-up fishing. Moreover, a backrest is available if you desire a more pleasant time in the water.

Can Withstand up to 20,000 fold

When folded, the MyCanoe Solo 2 measures just 43 x 18 x 11 inches (width x height x depth), making it extremely portable and small. That is roughly the size of a regular guitar case. The five steps of assembly include extending the stern and bow, forcing the hull into position, inserting the hull support, clipping in the seat, and tightening the straps. Overall, the process should take no more than two minutes, allowing you to begin paddling as soon as you arrive.

According to the manufacturer, this foldable canoe is rated to withstand up to 20,000 fold cycles. In other words, this canoe should last you a considerable amount of time in the water. It also includes a patch kit in case you encounter any sharp or pointy items in the water. Hence you can swiftly fix them and avoid having to swim back to shore. There are carry handles on the bow and stern, optional paddles (none are provided with the canoe), and an optional shoulder carrying strap on the canoe.
