If you are like me a technophile who uses a laptop a lot, you will know how much time is spent on the screen, right? They say sometimes the more displays you have, the better it is, right? Let's find out. Today I am going to share a new gadget-the PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 16. Honestly, this is my first time reviewing a portable display. Will it live up to my expectations? Let's find out.

It appears that portable displays are getting more popular these days thanks to a variety of media that we can consume and the content-rich work that we are involved in on a daily basis. The PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 16 that I have at my disposal is actually a portable OLED display. Having said so, this OLED portable display sets it apart from ordinary portable LCD displays thanks to its amazing visual quality.

The PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 16 is built to meet all your essential requirements for a portable display. It will equip you with portability (of course), performance, and versatility. If you are on the go a lot (like me-digital nomad), you will appreciate this portable OLED display a lot. Let's have a look at its main features that will blow your mind.

Out of the box, you will get the the huge portable OLED display (of course). Then you will see 2 super premium-quality USB-C cables. There is also an equally high-grade HDMI cable for you to use. PRISM+ has also been generous enough to throw in an adapter in case you need to use it. For my case, just the USB-C cable alone is suffice for me to connect either my laptop or my smartphone to the Nomad Ultra 16 portable display. On the complimentary protective case-cum-kickstand is also in the box.

My default laptop only has a display size of 13-inch which I am struggling with due to its relatively small screen size. In fact, thanks to the big display, I could get my work done even more quickly as I do not need to switch between tabs and windows all the time.

The 15.6-inch display is encased in a form factor measuring 359mm in width and 229mm in height. This barely noticeable weight is further backed up by its ultraslim build with a thickness of only 8.2mm! So this portable OLED display from PRISM+ is not only light but also very slim.

As I have aforementioned, the PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 16 is an OLED portable display. Get ready to feast on the visual brilliance of this Full HD OLED Panel. Vivid and accurate colours together with the truest blacks could be easily produced by the Full HD display. Yes! I enjoy watching my Netflix dramas and movies using this excellent display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. You might not believe it, but it is better than my laptop screen!

Frankly speaking, I was not expecting this portable display to have built-in speakers. After all, they are not the usual standalone "extra" monitors. So, it is a pleasant surprise when I discovered that PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 16 comes with built-in stereo speakers.

Thanks to the pair of 1.5-watt stereo speakers, you can now enjoy your videos and audio tracks on the go. It actually sounds way better than my laptop's very own muffled speakers if you ask me. So this is really a remarkable addition by PRISM+ to make their portable display even more versatile and usable in a myriad of situations.

My answer is a resounding yes if you are looking for a portable display that is huge (15.6 inches), light (0.75kg), and slim (8.2mm). Since it is an OLED display, colours are extremely vivid and lifelike and the contrast is superb for better viewing clarity and enjoyment. The built-in speakers and ergonomic kickstand sleeve are definitely a bonus.

All in all, I am really impressed by this PRISM+ Nomad Ultra 16 portable display. As aforementioned, the colours, clarity, and contrast of the display alone are enough to make me want to get it. The display is better than that of my laptop and smartphone (in terms of sheer size). The ability to use it as an extended screen is a huge bonus when I multitask as well.
