Unique Ferrari SP51 V12 Spider had been built for a leading Taiwanese Collector. You read it right. The latest one-off creation from Ferrari is a front-engined V12 spider that was built to the requirements of a customer from Taiwan. The Ferrari 812 GTS has been crafted into a roadster to blaze the tarmac.

Ferrari made the car public recently. The SP51 is a successful roadster take on Maranello's first front-engined V12 spider in over half a century. It was designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre, which is directed by Flavio Manzoni. The SP51 is based on the 812 GTS and shares its architecture, chassis, and engine with the 812 GTS.

Because there is no roof at all on the 812 GTS, the car's aerodynamics had to be fine-tuned through the use of computer models, wind tunnels, and testing in order to assure comfort and sound quality inside the cabin. The 812 GTS boasts a retractable hard top.

A One-off Ferrari Creation

Alongside a three-layer Rosso Passionale paint job – a colour that was produced particularly for the SP51 – and a blue and white livery that was inspired by "a legendary 1955 Ferrari 410 S," bare carbon fibre is used extensively both inside and outside the vehicle.

In addition, the car features diamond-cut wheels with carbon fibre wing shape spokes and accents that are unique to the design. However, the vehicle is powered by the same 6.5-litre, 789 horsepower V12 engine that is found in the 812 GTS.

The customer, who Ferrari refers to as "one of our leading collectors," was involved "every step of the way" in the process of crafting the cabin. The cabin is finished in the same Rosso Passionale shade of red – seen here in Alcantara – and features a continuation of the blue and white livery stripe throughout the interior.
