The SunnySide intends to alter this. SunnySide Lunchbox is a food container marketed as a "solar-powered smart lunchbox". It has all the required components to either heat or cools your food as it rests inside. That means you can chill your food as you go about your day, and then reheat it just before your dinner without a pantry.

SunnySide Lunchbox Features and Functions

The SunnySide Lunchbox is essentially a food container that measures 9 x 3.3 x 4.6 inches (width x height x depth). It has a volume capacity of 1.1 litres, so it can carry a normal-sized dinner. Whether you are packing a large amount of Nasi Lemak, a few sandwiches, or a variety of fruits for lunch, you should be able to do so. It has built-in insulation for passively adjusting the food's temperature, so it's like placing food in a little cooler.

How To Use SunnySide Lunchbox

The SunnySide Lunchbox is equipped with both heating and cooling devices that can be used to actively regulate the temperature inside. A small display strip with capacitive controls allows you to choose the desired temperature, at which point the device will activate its internal components to maintain it.

How You Can Use SunnySide Lunchbox

We have no idea what type of cooling element can fit in something this small and still effectively reduce the temperature (we're guessing it's a series of fans), but we'll take their word for it. According to the manufacturer, the cooling elements cool the air sufficiently to keep food fresh for the majority of the day, while the heating elements can heat food to 75 degrees Celsius in approximately seven minutes.

What SunnySide Lunchbox Can Do For You?

The SunnySide is powered by a 10,000mAh battery that can be charged by a standard USB connection or the solar panel embedded into the lid. A single charge of the battery is sufficient to power the cooling function for up to 20 hours or the heating function for seven cycles. There is also a USB port for charging gadgets from the onboard battery, in case you're out in the field and need more juice for your smartphone.

The container includes a locking mechanism that ensures a leak-proof seal, modular dividers (for separating various food items), and a companion app that can be used to modify the temperature of the container at any time.
