Under the hood of Roborock Q7 Max is its amazing PreciSense Precision LiDAR. For the uninitiated, LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) allows a machine to view its surroundings in 3D. The PreciseSense Precision LiDAR in the Q7 Max takes it one step further by allowing it to "precisely sense" its surroundings with even greater accuracy. In other words, the robot vacuum can now see and understand what is around it.

Equipped with PreciSense Precision LiDAR, the Roborock Q7 Max is so intelligent that it can navigate easily in your house without any problem. I have witnessed first-hand how exceptional this robot vacuum is, avoiding obstacles and identifying furniture in our house as it cleans our floors. It's like it can move around your house like a real human! As it vacuums and mops your floors, it remembers everywhere that it has gone.

4. Incredible 3D Mapping

Thanks to its extraordinary LiDAR system, the Roborock Q7 Max can map your whole house in 3D like a pro. I am utterly impressed by how detailed it could map my house in 3D. It's like you have your very own cartographer for your home in 3D. It will accurately divide your house into different spaces and rooms. The best part is, that you can add more details to the 3D layout recorded. For an even more accurate and realistic representation of your house, you can add the floor types and even furniture.

5. Huge Battery That Lasts For 3 Hours

A robot vacuum is as good as its battery, no? The good news is the Roborock Q7 Max is powered by a huge 5,200mAh Li-ion battery that can last up to 3 hours or 180 minutes. Yes! On a single charge, this robot vacuum can work its magic for up to 3 hours which is stunning. It can cover an area of up to 300 square metres which is really, really huge if you ask me.

Home Base aka Charging Dock

Based on my multiple observations, my Roborock Q7 Max needs around 62 minutes on average to cover my whole house (30 feet x 50 feet) minus the toilets and a wet kitchen. It needs to vacuum my 2 living spaces, dining room, dry kitchen and 4 bedrooms. In total (refer to the screenshot), it will take around 62 minutes to cover 67 metres squares of the cleaning area and it only uses around 25% of its battery for a complete, "full house" vacuum. Amazing indeed!

6. Intuitive App Control

Unlike many gadgets and products that have clunky and redundant accompanying apps, the Roborock App is a must-have. It is so well-designed that using it is a breeze. In fact, the Roborock App is very intuitive that even children or senior citizens can start using it on the fly. Thanks to the app, I can also command my Roborock Q7 Max to clean the house while I am working in the office. While away, I can watch my robot vacuum in action "live". Sometimes, it is quite fascinating to watch it move around on the 3D map.

At a glance, you can have full control of your Roborock vacuum. There are 3 modes when it comes to cleaning your house: Full, Rooms and Zones. When you choose the "Full" option, it will automatically clean the whole house for you. Should you choose any specific room or zone, your robot vacuum will move to the designated area and start cleaning. You can also use the app to set No-Go zones and invisible walls to seal off rooms or any areas in your house. You don't want the vacuum to "clean up" your jigsaw pieces, no?

You can command your Roborock to clean certain room(s) or zone(s) only!

You will also get all the information that you need for your robot vacuum such as its completed cleaning area, battery level, cleaning time and cleaning history just to name a few. If you want to "pilot" your robot vacuum, you can do so by using the remote control feature. You can also set up schedules to have your robot vacuum to clean up your house automatically at set periods of time by using the app. All in all, you can really do a lot by using the app.

7. Voice Control

If you do not want to use the app to control your robot vacuum, you can actually just your voice. Yupe! With the power of my voice, I can easily command my Roborock Q7 Max to clean up my whole house or any specific room or space. As expected of Roborock, this robot vacuum supports Google Home, Apple Siri and Amazon Alexa.

8. Child Lock To Keep Your Kids and Pets Safe

The Child Lock feature is often overlooked by many electrical appliances. Thankfully, you will have a dedicated Child Lock button on the Roborock vacuum. This feature will prevent any accidental start by your clumsy and curious little kids. If you have a pet cat or dog at home, you will have complete peace of mind, knowing that their inquisitive poking or touching will not activate the robot vacuum. I am glad that my Roborock Q7 Max is safe for both my kids and pets.

9. Washable Filter

A good vacuum cleaner will always be installed with a reliable filter to help you trap all the dust, particulates, and hair inside the robot vacuum itself. Roborock has gone one step further by developing a washable filter that can last longer. So you do not need to be worried about replacing it with a new one all the time.

10. Worry-Free Roaming

Essentially, this Roborock Q7 Max of mine can roam on its own in my house without me needing to supervise it. It can move freely and safely in my house thanks to its Sensient sensor array. In other words, this robot vacuum is equipped with a suite of sensors which include LiDAR, cliff sensors, accelerometers, and bumpers just to name a few.

The onboard sensors will ensure that the robot vacuum will not roll off steps, get trapped, or worse still, slammed into walls. You can say that it has been designed to stay safe while cleaning your house at the same time. Verdict-Should You Get A Roborock Q7 Max?

After using my Roborock Q7 Max for several days, I must admit that I have totally fallen in love with it. To be fair, this is my very first robot vacuum so my affection for it is understandable. Then again, I must applaud the engineers from Roborock. So far, I could not find any fault with my Roborock Q7 Max. It has exceeded my expectations in many different ways.

From its suction power to its cleaning prowess, everything appears to be perfect. I am delighted with the innumerable technologies that have made it so unbelievably good. The Roborock App itself is very easy to use and packs lots of extra features and functionalities to bring out the best in my robot vacuum. Overall, I love the built quality which feels really premium as well. If you are looking for a great robot vacuum, you should really try out Roborock Q7 Max.
