LEGO is not the first company to release a buildable model of the DeLorean from Back to the Future. They originally released a model along these lines in 2013. To be honest, that model was lacking in details and functional components. They are making amends this time around. Behold the 3 LEGO Back to The Future Time Machines. Thanks to the series under the LEGO Creator Expert, the DeLorean looks even better now. I would say they look more "realistic" this time around.

The model is larger and, perhaps, better than the 2013 DeLorean, providing a comprehensive replica of the film vehicle, complete with functional parts comparable to those seen in most modern LEGO automobile models. Even better, the same set can be used to assemble three distinct variants of the time-travelling automobile, allowing you to recreate each variant as shown in all three Back to the Future films. Now, if they can create one that performs all three of these functions and morphs into the Gigawatt Transformer robot, life will be complete.

The LEGO Creator Expert Back to the Future Time Machine enables you to construct a model of Doc and Marty's DeLorean in minute detail. It's also rather large, measuring 4.5 x 14 x 7.5 inches (height x length x breadth), which results in a significant piece that will command attention on any display shelf. Seriously, this is one of the larger DeLorean time machine models available, making it a no-brainer purchase for die-hard Back to the Future enthusiasts wishing to add a fantastic item to their collection.

It recreates every aspect of the car, including operable gullwing doors, a nuclear reactor power source in the back, and a complete interior with a flux capacitor in the dash. Seriously, this vehicle looks precisely like the one from the film, even down to the thick cables that run around the sides of the automobile.

The LEGO Creator Expert Back to the Future Time Machine may be made to resemble any of the car's three distinct forms. You may recreate the original with the plutonium chamber as the primary power source and the lightning rod as a backup, or the 2015 version with a Mr Fusion power plant and a hover conversion that folds the tyres into creating a flying automobile. Finally, you may design the Back to the Future III version, complete with whitewall tyres and an exposed circuit board under the hood constructed from 1955 parts.

Additionally, an opening hood, printed dashboard dates, and interchangeable licence plates are included (including that OUTATIME one that we all remember from the film). By the way, it is not motorised, which means you will not be able to drive it at sustained 88 mph or draw gigawatts of power from the nuclear reactor in the back, which should be fine given that we doubt you'd want to experiment with genuine plutonium in the comfort of your own house. The set contains 1,856 pieces and includes minifigs of Marty McFly and Doc Brown. The LEGO Creator Expert Back to the Future Time Machine will be available for $169.99 but it is sold out.
