Finally, we are part of the Netflix Stream Team Malaysia! We are so happy to be invited to advanced screening as well as getting exclusive gifts.

When we were invited by Netflix to join their exclusive, big family, we did not think twice. After all, our whole family has been a big fan of Netflix, watching at least several hours of shows every day. So we are now officially part of the Netflix Stream Team Malaysia! I cannot tell you how ecstatic my family and I are especially Jordan boy and Jasmine girl. Actually, I am the most excited one! LOL 😁

We Are Part of The Netflix Stream Team Malaysia

Like I have aforementioned, I have subscribed to Netflix the day it arrived in Malaysia 3 years ago back in 2019! There are 4 different plans and I have immediately subscribed to the top-tier Netflix Premium Plan for only RM55 per month which allows streaming on 4 devices simultaneously. Since then I have never looked back and I must say that it is the best, must-have monthly subscription that I will never cancel! It is money well-spent if you ask me!

So what is Netflix Stream Team about? Basically, we will be Netflix's ambassadors sharing the latest, and exciting releases that you can enjoy on Netflix. Since we are now part of the Netflix Stream Team as a family, we will also be the advocates for Netflix Kids and Family content. There is no denying that Netflix is a virtual treasure chest for countless dramas, animes, movies and documentaries just to name a few. Then again, parents can be in total control of what their children watch.

Parents are in Control

As parents ourselves, we are happy that Netflix is constantly improving their already excellent streaming services to curate content that are family-friendly. I love how each of the shows, series and movies have been carefully rated in terms of suitability and maturity. Netflix will even state and explain why that particular dramas or movies have been given such ratings. On top of that, Netflix also provides parents with the essential tools in terms of controls, profile settings and filters to make sure their little ones or teens only watch content that will be suitable for them.

Netflix's 4 Parental Control Tools and Settings

1. Create a Netflix Kids Profile

Parents! Do you know that you can effortlessly control your child's safety and access to any content of Netflix? All you have to do is create a Netflix Kids profile. When your little ones are "logged into" the Kids profile, they do not have any direct access to account settings. Thanks to the intuitive, simpler look and feel, kids can immediately enjoy fun, suitable content with a default maturity setting of 7+. In other words, in this Kids profile, they can only play shows and movies that have been carefully selected for them to watch.

2. Customize Profile Maturity Ratings

This is a powerful feature that I love about Netflix. Do you know that you can actually adjust the maturity ratings in the profile that your children or even teenagers are watching? As your children grow, their maturity, beliefs, tolerance and preferences will change as well. Hence, you can easily customize the profile maturity ratings to allow your children to enjoy shows, movies and even games that fit their respective age groups such as 13+ and 16+.

3. Block Specific TV Shows or Movies

Apart from adjusting the maturity settings to filter suitable shows and movies for your children and teenagers, you can also directly block specific tv shows and movies from the Kid's profile. Yupe! If you deem certain shows and movies to be unsuitable for your children or teenagers to view, you can block those shows or movies. There you can easily block contents that contain elements that are against your beliefs or culture or for whatever reasons you think is justifiable.

4. Set Profile and Account Lock

Yes! You can set a profile lock which is a 4-digit pin that will prevent your kids or teenagers (or others) from accessing a specific account profile. When this has been activated, a new profile cannon be added as well. I believe this is a very powerful feature as it gives parents total control of what their little ones or older teenagers watch. So you do not have to be worried even when you are not by your children's side when they are enjoying their Netflix shows. Total peace of mind aye?

Besides being an advocate to help share updates about Netflix's latest series and movies, we can also enjoy certain privileges and perks. We Love Binge-Watching Netflix!

For those of you who have subscribed to Netflix, do note that The Adam Project is now live and you can watch it already. The movie starts the hilarious Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Walker Scobell, with Catherine Keener and Zoe Saldana, follows a time-travelling pilot who teams up with his younger self and his later father to come to terms with his past while saving the future. All in all, it was a blast today the least. Not going to reveal any spoiler here. Go watch it now!
