Behold The Indian Motorcycle x Super73 eFTR Hooligan 1.2 which is a collaboration between Super73 and Indian Motorcycle which is the latter’s very first electric bike. Super73 and their scrambler-style e-bikes, add a motorcycle appearance to the mostly pedal-powered vehicle. It's an appealing design option that truly distinguishes the bike from the basic bicycle look of other electrics in the category.

This reminds me of my very own Dyu D3+ Electric Bike. No, this isn't an Indian FTR reimagined as a motorised pedal pusher. This isn't even a brand-new bike built from the ground up by the partnership. Instead, it is based on one of Super73's existing scrambler-style models, which is dressed out in numerous embellishments reminiscent of various aspects seen in Indian motorcycle designs.

The Indian x Super73 eFTR Hooligan 1.2 is based on Super73's S2 platform, which is a high-performance Class 3 e-bike that has gained popularity among electric bike riders. Of course, they made several alterations to distinguish it, the most notable of which was the battery placement. While the normal S2 maintained it in the top tube on a gasoline tank-like casing, the FTR gas tank is now positioned on the down tube for a lower centre of gravity. In its place is a long saddle built to carry two people, allowing you to easily transport a passenger in the back, as you would on a standard motorcycle, or even out front.

2 People Can Enjoy Riding The Electric Bike!

It has moto-style handlebars, a wind deflector inspired by the FTR 1200 Rally, and all-terrain Super73 GRZLY 20-inch tyres. Those fenders on the original S2's front and rear? They entirely removed it here, while adding a gold chain to complete the Indian Motorcycle design look. Other features include an aluminium frame, 20-inch wheels, disc brakes on all four corners, and an inverted front fork.

It Has a Mileage of 40 miles

The Indian x Super73 eFTR Hooligan 1.2 is outfitted with a rear hub motor that produces 750 watts of continuous power and 1200 watts of peak power, which is plenty of power for an old bicycle, and it is powered by a 960Wh detachable battery. According to the company, the battery has a range of 40 miles when riding at 20mph with no pedal assist, so you should get a lot more mileage if you like to ride with your legs.

There are 4 Different Riding Modes

It has four riding modes to choose from. There's Class 1, which is a pedal-assist mode with a top speed of 20 mph; Class 2, which doesn't require pedalling (throttle only) but also has a top speed of 20 mph; Class 3, which engages pedal assist at top speeds of 28 mph; and Off-Road, which unleashes the full power of the motor, allowing it to put out 1200 watts continuous and 2000 watts at its peak.

According to the company, it can reach speeds of more than 28 mph in that configuration, and the aggressive semi-knob tyres should assist in smoothing out the ride during true off-road riding. The Indian x Super73 eFTR Hooligan 1.2 will be available in the spring. with a jaw-dropping price tag of US$3,999.99 (RM16,999), which is $1,000 more than the standard S2. The price might be worth it for its cool, rugged look! For more information, check out Indian Motorcycle's official website.
