A Terrible Year 2021 For Many

It has been A Terrible Year 2021 For Many. How was your 2021? What are your hopes for the brand new year of 2022?
A Terrible Year 2021 For Many

Today is the very last day of the year 2021 and I am sure that many are looking forward to embracing the brand new year of 2022. However, it is a fact that it has (had) been a terrible year 2021 for many around the world! From the pandemic to natural disasters, everything seems to be getting worse for those who have been struggling. Will it be getting worse in 2022?

A Terrible Year 2021 For Many

The World Is Ravaged By Covid-19 and Poverty Pandemic

While the rich are getting richer thanks to the pandemic, many are living from hand to mouth. Millions across the globe have suffered from job losses while many more are still struggling to even get vaccinations against the ever-evolving Covid-19 virus. It has been 2 years since the virus has started to wreak havoc in our lives and it shows no signs of stopping with new variants popping up here and there!

Pandemic Getting Worse

Even rich countries who thought they have got the better of the virus with multiple vaccine shots for their citizens have had to impose lockdown again and again. Likewise, some countries are being mired by civil wars that have made life even more unbearable for their own people. It appears that human being greatest nemesis has always been us.

The Worst Floods in Malaysia

I have never thought that we have to witness the worst floods in Malaysia in 2021. Just when you thought that the only problems we have are the Covid-19 pandemic and our struggle to make ends meet, mother nature has decided otherwise. Many Malaysians whose houses are unfortunately built in low-lying areas have to face the wrath of the surging floods. So many belongings have been rendered worthless overnights such as cars, furniture and electrical appliances.

Worst Flood In Malaysia 2021

The aftermath is equally devastating for the flood victims no thanks to the non-existence support from the incompetent and useless government led by UMNO, Bersatu and PAS! Those who wish to help the flood victims can directly donate to these 15 NGOs in Malaysia. Shockingly, reports have later shown that the worst flood in Malaysia is actually man-made after all thanks to massive deforestation that appear to have got the green lights from the government.

Cancer Decides To Throw A Spanner In Our Life

Honestly speaking, my family and I have had a great in 2021 if not for the sudden appearance of cancer. We were obviously elated to move into our new home but Mr Big C decided to knock on our door. My father-in-law was diagnosed with unexpected cancer that is rare and difficult to treat. We brought him back to our home from his hometown and take care of him. It is a pity that this terminal disease has got the better of him.

Father In Law Got Cancer

Our family has had to make huge drastic changes in our lives and we have to postpone a lot of our plans to take care of my father-in-law. It has been a heart-wrenching and exhausting fight but we will soldier on. Hence, I am struggling to juggle my time for my work, my family, taking care of my father-in-law and of course my blog.

A lot of my personal projects have to wait as my time is now limited and I am practically "restricted". Hence, I would like to apologise to those who wish to collaborate with me on my blog or social media. I might appear very reluctant because my hands are tied. So if you notice that I don't publish any new updates for my blog, then most likely things have taken a turn for the worse.

Hoping For A Better 2022

Hopefully, a brand new year can bring new hope for everyone. I am really hopeful that scientists can really put a stop to the Covid-19 pandemic in the year 2022, can't they? For those who have been suffering and struggling in the year 2021, I wish that your life will be better next year. Take care and everyone and never stop believing in yourself and always be hopeful.

  1. Very good and kind of you all to take care of your father in law at home. If need be, there are organisations that can help with palliative care. TM would know more about this as he was a volunteer there before.

  3. Sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Yes, it is hard taking care of loved ones who are sick - I had my share of that...for many years. Be strong. Let us pray that things are going to be better and God will bless us in the New Year, 2022 - may He watch over and protect us all the days ahead. Cheers!
