Your Digi Internet connection is problematic? The good news is you are not alone! It is really frustrating and disappointing to know that Digi telco connectivity problems are affecting a lot of its users and I could, unfortunately, experience it first-hand today. So far, I have been working from home all this while and of course, I use my unlimited Unifi broadband. I only realize how badly Digi has screwed up when I had to return to the office this morning to follow up with my paperwork.

When I tried to use MySejahtera app to "check-in" my office today, I could not do so due to Digi connectivity problem. Initially, I thought it was due to blind spots or occasional "hiccups". After completing some tasks in the office, I headed to my following destinations, and then only I discovered how seriously affected was the Internet connection provided by my Digi. A lot of people are suffering from this problem too and they vent their frustration on Twitter!

My Digi connection is still ZERO.

Essentially, I could not access the Internet at all as Digi telco is suffering from terrible connectivity disruption. I could not use any apps at all such as Youtube, WhatsApp, Facebook, and of course the much-needed aforementioned MySejahtera app. Of course, a lot of Digi subscribers are not happy at all with these inconveniences. Many have had to deal with this "Digi problem" for more than 3 days!

So Digi's maintenance-migration process was screwed up?

Digi has earlier claimed that the company would be performing system migration from 25th till 26th of October 2021. However, it has been 48 hours and reliable Internet connection has not been restored at all. On top of that, their official MyDigi app is not working properly as well. It is 27th of October and the problem still persists and certainly, a lot of irate Digi customers are pissed off and many of them want Digi to compensate them for the disruption caused. Some could not work from home and others who are students could not attend their online lessons. Will Digi compensate its customers?

No estimated time of recovery has been provided.

Digi said it was merely an "intermittent" problem and this has further enraged many Digi subscribers! It feels more like a total "blackout" if you ask me! So far NO estimated recovery time has been provided by Digi regarding their "unexpected" connectivity disruption. Obviously, this migration by Digi has been ill-advised of horribly-prepared and executed at the expense of customers of pay. Will the telco pay the price for this negligence on their part? They should have thought of a contingency plan but it is too late now and a lot of Digi customers will be really angry and they might be "migrating" to other telcos too. Or maybe this is not Digi's fault?

P.S.: Will Digi give ridiculously good offers and deals to those who threaten to switch to other telcos to retain them? I hope there is no such discrimination going on later!

  1. I use DIGI on my handphone and I use it to connect to the internet as well. No problem! Good enough for my needs.

    1. It appears to be affecting a lot of us in the peninsular...which was really bad. Some couldn't get any reliable connectivity for almost a week.
