How do you make your running shoe even faster? This is the quest that every footwear maker wants to achieve all the time. Introducing Under Armour Flow Velociti Wind which is claimed by the company to be its fastest shoe yet. Technically, to make your shoe faster, you will need to make it lighter. So how did Under Armour make their already "fast" running shoe even faster?
Apparently, the designers at Under Armour has decided to make its shoe faster by completely removing the heaviest part of the shoe-the rubber outsole. This is achieved by employing its Flow Cushioning system that eliminates any need for the rubber outsole. Steph Curry's Curry Flow 8 debuted this technology earlier this month, hence it is safe to say that it works.
No more rubber outsole
The magic of the "Flow" underfoot setup is its supportive foam that is incredibly soft but features an all-condition grip. I know! I know! You might be worried that you will exhaust the exposed foam pretty quick right? Then again, the Flow has been created with rigorous testing which involved 15 rounds of over 11,000 miles of wear and tear. So you can have your peace of mind while putting on these fastest shoes and hit the road!
Do you like this colourway of neon/green/black?
I think Baby Yoda might like it 😁
A knit UA Warp upper sits atop of the flexible Flow base, being secured by supportive "tapes" that take inspiration from your seatbelts. The durable but flexible additions allow the shoe to react and adapt to the wearer's foot regardless of your motion. This combination of Flow and Warp has made it possible to have an incredibly light shoe for you to wear. Do you know that a men's size of 9.5 only tips the scale at 241 grams. That is incredibly light if you ask me.
I love this white/gold/silver colourway
These ultra-fast and light Under Armour Flow Velociti Wind will be available in 3 different colourways of white/red/black, neon/green/black and white/gold/silver. For those who want to run faster, this might be the pair of shoes that could help you shave off a lot of seconds or even minutes in your run. Surely, this success will mean that we will see even lighter footwear from Under Armour. This fastest shoe from Under Armour comes with a price tag of US$160 (RM649).
