Amazfit Ares has 90 days of battery life and comes with an expected price tag of RM300 in Malaysia. It can track 70 different sports modes including your dance moves. It is even water resistant.

After announcing the availability of Amazfit X, the company has unveiled their latest rugged smartwatch-the Amazfit Ares. One look and you will know that this is a smartwatch that exudes a lot of masculinity and suave.

Amazfit Ares borrows its name from the greek God-Ares who is God of War. A fitting name if you ask me judging by its tough, solid exterior. The design of Amazfit Ares has that military vibes and uncanny Casio G-Shock look in its DNA. It is obvious that Amazfit Ares is a smartwatch that can endure and withstand a lot of beatings. Being targeted as an outdoor smartwatch, Ares comes with a lot of sports tracking capabilities and of course amazing battery life.

Amazfit Ares can track 70 different sports mode

One of the most attractive features of Amazfit Ares is its 70 sports modes that are available at your disposal. The smartwatch can track virtually any activities that you can name ranging from the common running and swimming to the more extreme ones such as snowboarding, skiing and even archery. On top of that, Ares can also track your dance moves be it ballet, zumba or street-dancing. How about salsa?

Amazfit Ares has 5ATM water resistance capability

You can bring your Amazfit Ares for a swim or go jungle trekking, wadding through rivers and lakes thanks to its 5ATM water resistance capability. The casing of Amazfit Ares is tough as it looks. Its 1.28-inch touch screen colour display is protected by a layer of highly durable Corning Gorilla Glass 3 while the body of the watch is constructed from robust polycarbonate. To achieve the rated 90-day battery life, the display of Ares is not AMOLED which is an acceptable trade off. 

Amazfit Ares will be available in 2 different colours

Here is how long Amazfit Ares can last on a single charge. For normal basic Watch Mode, it can last an amazing 90 days. If you were to use its Smartwatch features on daily basis, Ares can last for 14 days. Once you turn on the continuous GPS tracking, the Amazfit Ares can still last a staggering 23 hours which is more than enough for your usual mountain hiking trips being needing a quick charge. For the time being, its availability in Malaysia is still unknown. As for pricing, it has a retail price of CNY499 in China so hopefully the price of Amazfit Ares will be less than RM300 in Malaysia.
