Finally the cover has been taken off to reveal what the PS5 DualSense Controller looks like to the whole world especially ardent fans. On paper, this latest controller has undergone quite a lot of overhaul, making it so different from its predecessor. Sony wants their new controller to intrigue your sensations and allow you to literally step into the virtual worlds of PS5 games. Sounds a little bold but nothing is beyond imagination. Together with PS5's Tempest 3D AudioTech, players will experience a whole new level of immersion in their game-play.

The mainstay "DualShock" in the previous versions PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 will finally make way for the new DualSense controller which focuses more on haptic feedback. Unlike its previous siblings which are usually painted in single colour, the latest iteration has a different design DNA as white is the new dominant colour while the bottom part of the analog sticks are in black. So gone is the traditional mono-colour look and two-tone colours design is the new "in". So what do you think?

Essentially the PS5 DualSense Wireless Controller is the dream creation between developers and players. The essence of DS4 has been retained while certain features are innovated to make game-playing more refined and immersive. The new haptic feedback will surely revolutionized our gaming experience as game developers can now offer players with games which are of much deeper feelings and sensations. Yep~you can now FEEL the games that you are playing. You will feel the gunshot that pierced through your arms and the tremors while navigating perilous terrains in your adventure.

Another really cool and perhaps long overdue addition is the built-in microphone set. Yes! Now you no longer need to hook up an external headset to chat with your buddies while playing games. Still the company claims that it is not a really, really good replacement compared to a dedicated gaming headphone. Now that we have seen what the controller will look like, the main console will be the final piece of jigsaw (a huge one) to be unveiled. Will it be in two-tone colour design as well?

Industry experts have forecast that the new PS5 will be priced between US$499 (RM2,199) and US$599 (RM2,599) which is more expensive compared to PS4 which only cost around US$399 (RM1,799) during its launching. Then again the high asking price of PS5 is due to the custom-made CPU and GPU which is based on AMD's Zen 2 micro-architecture plus speedy high-capacity SSD. Mass production of PS5 will begin in June 2020 and Sony will only be selling between 6 million units. Make you book yours early.
