STOCK UP & Stay At Home During This MCO Extension

Have you stock up your food supply in order to stay at home safely and happily? Find out what I have bought in order to survive the Movement Control Order extension. Guess what I did not buy?

Are you surprised that the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia has been extended for another 2 more weeks until the 14th of April 2020? I was hoping that this would not be the case. However with the current situation turning worse, it makes perfect sense to extend this much-needed restricted movement measure in order to TRY to curb the spread of this highly contagious Covid 19 virus. So far this deadly Coronavirus has already claimed 20 deaths and infected 1796 people (correct at the time of this writing) in Malaysia.

Right after the announcement of MCO extension!

Though 95% of Malaysians are strictly following the MCO, honestly speaking, it does not look too well for us Malaysians as more are expected to be infected in the coming days. Of the 1796 people infected, more than 1,000 of them are from the tabligh gathering. Don't forget that the final 4,000 of the 16,000 participants who attended the gathering needed to be FORCED to undergo screening and that means more people have been infected while they selfishly remained QUIET. Why did they refuse to be checked in the first place? Beats me! So we Malaysians need to be more vigilant and wary.

Making sure that both my babies have plenty to eat during their "Quarantine" 😂

Since there is NEITHER CURE NOR VACCINE for this contagious Covid 10 Virus, the only way to beat it is through isolation! Though we have been advised to practise social distancing, I believe it is still way better to stay indoor rather than risking yourself being infected by this virus that is airborne! Hence it makes perfect sense to stock up and stay at home for at least another 20 days or we will be suffering the same saddening fate of Italy (7,503 deaths) and Spain (3,445 deaths)!

Obviously we got a lot of "comfort" food to keep us calm in order to stay at home.

So right after the announcement by Muhyiddin Yassin at 1pm yesterday, yours truly me immediately headed to a Hypermarket to stock up on our daily necessities and some "luxuries" of course. Besides buying poultry in the forms of chicken meat, meatballs and nuggets just to name a few, I also stocked up on vegetables and a lot of instant noodles, biscuits, cereals, snacks and chocolates! Yeah~I have been spending like crazy these 2 weeks but then again I want my family to stay comfortably indoor, knowing that they will not starve for at least another 3 weeks. And ouh yeah...I did not buy any toilet paper.

Make sure you buy meat and vegetables as well. 😁

With our "food supply" guaranteed, the only thing that we need to do right now is to STAY INDOOR! Staying in Malacca (which is a small state) has its advantages as the population density is lower, meaning that we will not be exposed to too much risk when we go out to stock up on our groceries and other necessities. But if you really want to minimize your chances of getting infected, you can always order your groceries online and have them sent to your doorstep easily. Last but not least, do all of us a favour-STAY AT HOME!
