So the other day as usual when the Big Bad Wolf who reads come to Melaka, my family and I went to MITC to buy some books for our little ones. Upon entering the big hall, we saw hundreds of thousands of books stacked on the tables awaiting for their turns to be put on your book shelves. Heading towards the exit after our purchase, something caught our eyes. There was an interesting booth with a catchy name that read, "Red Readerhood"...which reminder us of Red Riding Hood.
Try to give a helping hand whenever possible
Linking the dots between Red Riding Hood and Big Bad Wolf will remind you of one the childhood fairy tales of course. Then again the the Big Bad Wolf which has been synonymous with affordable books here will not be up to no good. Instead, together with Red Readerhood, both of them will be helping the unfortunate children in Malaysia to get books to read. Yupe~you can give back to the society at any Big Bad Wolf book fair.
Yupe~give the best to the least
So every book that you purchase at this Red Readerhood corner will be donated to support children aged between 5-17 in the particular state whereby the sale is being held. This brilliant program could be made possible thanks to Teach For Malaysia movement which aims to help our nation through the education. So after we had bought books for Jordan and Jasmine, wifey suggested that we do our part to contribute back to the community in Melaka.
Purchase any book and give it to those who need it.
We purchased two story books to be donated to those who need them. It is fairly easy. You just need to select the books that you want to donate, pay for them and you put them in a basket. Voila~you goodwill is on its way to the intended recipients. So if you happen to visit any Big Bad Wolf books sales, do make sure that you buy a book or two to be given to those less fortunate souls who will be the pillars of our nation one day.
Buy a book and let the least fortunate have a chance to read it. :)
