9th Tournament Qualifier for Taiwan Excellence E-sports Cup in Collaboration With Predator

The 9th Tournament Qualifier For Taiwan Excellence E-sports Cup had just concluded. Don't miss the finale of the TEEC at Berjaya Times Square from 11th-13th of October 2019.

Can you be counted to bite the bullet and turn the tables on your rivals when you are the last man standing in your team? Can teamwork be the driving force to guide your comrades and you to a victory when your opposing numbers seem to have a lot more of individual brilliance? Who would hold on and emerge as the top teams to compete in the finale? Ladies and gentlemen that was the 9th Tournament Qualifier for the Taiwan Excellence E-sports Cup (TEEC) in partnership with Predator at the Cove Esport, Bandar Sunway last Saturday. Were you in the thick of the actions as well?

Welcome to the Cove for the 9th Tournament Qualifier

Yours truly me was there to witness the intensity of the battles, whereby 32 teams were pitting against each other in 3 different e-sport arenas to be declared as the torchbearers who would then carry the flame to the finals in October. The three main e-sports titles being contested were Counter-Strike Global Offensive (CS: GO), DotA 2 and League of Legends. The triumphant victors will be chosen  based on first kill, first tower taken and of course a plethora of other vital stats that define the games themselves.

I am here to be part of the 2019 TEEC

Launched in April 2019, this epic TEEC tournament is the brainchild of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taiwan's Bureaun of Foreign Trade (MOEA). Simply put, this tournament is a community event which aims to engage and gather like-minded Malaysians who are passionate about e-sports. It is also worth mentioning that there are more and more people who are doing their level best to elevate the perception and quality of e-sports. As an avid gamer myself, I am really happy to see continuous effort being done to acknowledge gaming as a healthy, professional sport for everyone.

Lucky draw winner. :)

What I had seen at Cove Esports is also very encouraging with right infrastructures and environments are being created and cultivated to pave way for our young e-sports winners. I am kind of jealous as I marvel at the cozy ambiance and futuristic facilities that they have at their disposal. Wish I could enjoy such privileges back in my hometown. But who knows right? Perhaps there will be more soon all across Malaysia to promote e-sports!

Visitors will also get to test different gadgets

Besides enjoying how the players fought tooth and nail against each other, we also got to have close contact with the latest Predator Triton 900 Laptop which is equipped with an unbelievable 360 degree rotating display! YES~you read it right~360 degree! Under the hood, this beast is powered by an ultra fast six-core 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVidia RTX 2080 graphics card and a whopping 32GB of DDR4 RAM! Throw in a 4k IPS LCD display and you will get the perfect gaming device that can fulfill all your virtual needs! Dang~I wish I could get one which can double up as a working laptop for me. *fingers crossed*

Predator Triton 900-my kind of beast

Good news is there will another qualifier for those who still want to fulfill their dreams and ambitions to be a professional e-sport gamer! On the 7th of September the final LAN Qualifier for the TEEC tournament will be held Battle Arena, Petaling Jaya. The grand finale will be taking place at Berjaya Times Square from the 11th till 13th of October 2019. The champions of CS: GO, DotA 2 and League of Legends will each win a prize money of RM10,000. Here's the icing on the cake-the winning team for the CS: GO will be getting a GOLDEN TICKET to Taiwan to battle with the champions from four other countries (Taiwan, Thailand, The Philippines and India) to see who will walk home with the grand prize of US$2,000.
