This is the fourth single from Bigbang's latest album to have garner worldwide attention. Monster music video has reached the 10million views and has joined Bigbang's previous other smashing MTVs such as Blue, Fantastic Baby and Bad Boy! So this year alone (2012) Bigbang has 4 MTVs which have exceeded the 10 million views mark-which is one truly unbelievable feat by a band. To think that they achieve this without any promotional activities is really amazing! This goes to show the 5 members of Bigbang are really monster!
So far I have to say that Bigbang's fourth single-Monster, is my favourite song of the moment! I have already expected the MTV for Monster to be as radical as Fantastic Baby...well...at least costume wise. Somehow I feel that Monster has what Blue and Fantastic Baby have got to offer-infectious, catchy song blended perfectly with heart-warming emotions. The whimsical, flawless arrangement of the song has made Monster better than Bigbang's previous hits.

Monster kicks off with bullets and bombs being bombarded at what appears to be a jail where the "Monsters" are shackled. Top got the whole monstrous song rolling, accompanied by strong heart beatings which played a pivotal role for the whole song-giving Monster its identity. I love the costumes donned by all for 5 of the Bigbang members. The costumes designer(s) deserve a huge pat on their backs!

It's a bit funny to see the 2 horns sticking out of GD's red mane. However he looked stunningly enigmatic with his futuristic white hair cut. Likewise I can't help but laugh at Taeyang's funny hairdo in the beginning. Then again, after second and third looking...Taeyang's style does look cool in a way. Cold as Ice-that's how I would describe Daesung's ultra chilling appearance. Seungri was the "cleanest"-looking monsters in this MTV. His icy gaze exudes with his very own unmistakable charisma. Last but not least was Top who looked really dashing despite being handcuffed. Ha :D

I must say that I love how Monster is sung by all 5 of the Bigbang members. They complete each others' singing with their very own, unique voice and style. In other words, they bring out the best in the song. So what is the song-Monster, is about? Simply put...it is a love song about how one survives after a break up. I love the part of the song when it says, "What hurts me the most is, like everyone else, you are also treating me like a monster!" Very, very meaningful, isn't it? I can really relate to this song and it really gives you this special nostalgic feeling.
