Kuala Lumpur (KL) is no doubt's Malaysia most advanced, vibrant city. It is the place where Malaysians, especially the young ones would be flocking to make a living. This is the city where skyscrapers are peppered everywhere, be it commercial building or luxurious condominiums. Houses are built on virtually every single inch of the (exploited) scarce land of KL. With millions congregating in this city, you would have guessed that it cost a  bomb to own a house in KL. Then again the astronomical price tags have never bothered most of the city dwellers. However...not everyone is lucky enough to have their very own home...

So how should we "see" them?

I snapped these photos while I was in KL some time ago for a visit. They were captured near the Pasar Seni LRT station and in the vicinity of Pudu Raya. These are just a few of those unfortunate homeless people roaming on the street of KL. As you can see some of them have even built their very own "quarters" out of boxes. If you have been to these areas, you might have seen them sitting cluelessly (or purposefully) on the street begging for some money. So what do you think of these homeless folks taking on our streets? Are they becoming an eye sore for all of us? Or they deserve our sympathy?
