Once again Katy Perry has mesmerized me. Previously I was (and still am) spellbound by Katy Perry's Inspiring Firework. Right now the tune that I am grooving to the extraterrestrial beat from Katy Perry aka E.T. I just can't get enough of this tune. I don't know why...maybe I have been infected by the love from this song. Ha :D This awesome E.T featuring Kanye West is Katy Perry's fourth single released from her Teenage Dream album. I have a question to ask all of you: Don't you think that Katy Perry is getting better and better?

ET is totally out of this world.

I understand that not many people will like this latest alien tune from Katy Perry. The inclusion of Kanye West in the latest remix didn't help at all, especially with his crude lyrics. A lot of music (professional) critics has blasted this ET for being rather dark. Likewise I view and listen to this song rather differently. I think E.T. allows us to see the different side of  Katy Perry which is darker, deeper and more mature. E.T. totally allows Katy Perry to release any inhibitions shackling her hidden vocal range and attitude.

So there is really an ET in this song?

Now do you know what this whole song is about? Is it about aliens from other planets? A~ha! According to Katy Perry, E.T. is about falling in love with someone from a foreign land-foreigner. So E.T. or Extraterrestrial is actually metaphor used to describe being in a relationship with someone who is not local. Pay attention to the lyrics where Katy sings, "You are not like the others...futuristic lover...different DNA...all these verses show that the lover being implied here is a foreigner right?

I like everything about E.T. I like how Kanye West rapped even though a lot of people say he is gay. Ha :D I like the way Katy Perry unleashes herself with the intricately crafted music video. Her make-up, her costumes and the way her eyes  exude her persona. Do you know how many costumes (refer above) she wore for her music video? Hmmm...interestingly the MTV showed snippets of nature and animals in the acts of mating from National Geographic, I believe? Don't forget what happened to Katy Perry's feet at the end of the video OK. :p

So what do you think about this song alien song from E.T.? I believe you will either love or loathe this Extraterretrial song from Katy Perry. There should not be in between I guess. I think with this song, Katy Perry has really established herself as one of the best female singer in her era. What say you? And yeah...one more thing...I can't imagine Lady Gaga singing this song watching her antics in the MTV. Then the whole song will carry a different meaning.
